Casey Anthony verdicts..

I'll be honest. I've hated how long this has been on TV, and how it has dominated coverage at times. I've hated that this has been so damn relevant for all these months.

Today however, I turned on the TV and noticed that the verdicts were about to be read.

First Degree Murder: Not Guilty

Aggravated Child Abuse: Not Guilty

Aggravated Manslaughter of a Child: Not Guilty

All she was convicted of was providing false information! What the shit happened? :angry:

    I have no idea of what evidence was presented and what the defenses response was to each of the states exhibits nor the prosecution's response to any evidence presented and entered by the defense. Do you?


    I do know (according to what the media has told me) the the prosecution could not prove the cause of death. So the only thing I am left to wonder, even though in my gut I must admit I believe her to be guilty, is how enforcement convinced prosecution to proceed without being able to firmly establish (beyond a shadow of reasonable doubt) the cause of death.

    Everything I have heard or read since the verdict was released (heard it live on AM radio while driving) is that one of the key factors in the jury's decision not to convict on murder 1, manslaughter whatever, and the kiddie endangerment charges was the fact the the prosecution could not prove the cause of death.

    Without cause of death how can you establish premeditated murder? I have to blame this on the DA and his office for not lining up their ducks before releasing the hounds.

    But she waited a fucking month before she reported her kid missing. That has to at least be child negligence or something.

    And her lawyer makes me :angry:
    On tv he was saying something about how he was proud that he can go home and tell his kids that he saved a life.
