Steve Jobs resignation

As you might have read, Steve Jobs has resigned as CEO of Apple to put himself in a more backseat position as the chairmandue to ill health (Cancer). What do you think this means for Apple, when or will retire fully, and do you think that Tim Cook (the replacement CEO) will be as effective as Steve was? :) Also, in the very future, what impact will Tim Cook have over future developments?

The core team remains the same, I think they will continue working on the current trend. They haven't really changed much when it comes to products, so I am sure they will just keep releasing more Iphones.
