Removing Fence Posts

A friend of mine has been "contracted" to remove a dozen 6x6 wooden fence posts from a piece of land near his house. These posts were installed by the city to prevent vehicle access to the land beyond, which my friend often uses for certain "business" ventures.

Unfortunately, the location and depth of the posts is presenting a bit of a problem for my friend. The gate was constructed directly at the entrance of the road, only 10 meters from a residential area, making a chainsaw or explosives too loud for use, and incendiary devices/fire too bright. Removing the posts from the ground is one potential option, but they are buried 4 feet deep, and it would take an awfully long time to dig them up by hand.

Anyone have some bad ideas for my friend?

Blow torch the posts horizontally through the bottom. Do this at night and use a tarp or similar object to obstruct the flame from being seen from the road. This may take more than one trip. You do not want to burn the entire post, just the bottom of it, or low enough to be able to drive over it.

wiggle them around as much as you can by hand. You might to be able to push them back and forth and get them fairly loose. When they are loose pull them out with a truck and chain if you have one.

since its wood by some termites

 and how would you make the termites specifically nest in the wooden posts, when they could easily find some nice, soft deadwood nearby?

Hand saw or cordless circular saw.

you don't even have to drill a hole in it if you know how to use a chain.

Drill through, tie to car, drag out?

What are the dimensions of the posts?

    ***Also chemical stump remover

Chemical stump remover works rather slowly.

As already stated, the fastest way would be to tear them out with a truck.
It's a shame they can't be blown up :( it would only take a little over a pound of etn to get all 12 of them.

Honestly, you'd probably be best off chainsawing through it anyways as fast as you can but do so in a manner you can quickly conceal while leaving the whole thing up just for appearance when you're done, waiting for a good long while, then coming back and simply dumping it over. Otherwise, you're going to be making a loud racket anyways trying to tear it down using "quieter" methods, all of which are going to be slow and frustrating as fuck.
The truck idea would work, but if you've never done it before or don't know much about trucks you could just embarrass yourself by destroying the truck or ripping out the rear axle and leaving a nice and easy piece of evidence behind. 6x6 posts 4 feet deep isn't something that's fucking around, that's beefy.
