p2p botnet?

Is it possible to build a p2p botnet and deploy it large scale?

I think so, but i would like some ideas/comments from other people!:thumbsup:

    you need to sort out your terminology (I think).

    Are you asking about a self replicating program that copies itself from machine to machine without the users knowledge? A computer worm? Then no, the only way to do this is to get the users to install "hotporn.exe" and hope he is unpatched or masochistic.
    That or expensive, intensive research. The large holes that made this trivial are now patched. There are more organized, more dedicated mafia type people out there. Governments as well.

    OK, here is the idea. For example use the pdf .exe embed exploit and create a worm that say auto send itself with email/IM/etc...

    I know that this is possible because i have done a similar project before (in a controlled lab-environment).

    ^ Well, that would work. That PDF exploit is a great one, and as long as you can get your worm to send itself along in emails which get past AntiVirus, you're good to go.
