Firefox 8

Firefox 8 has been released. I don't usually comment on firefox releases as I view them as one constant stream of updates at this point.

but firefox 8 has impressed me. It's fast, it's stable. You can now search twitter though the search bar (I find this very useful), you can now set preloaded tabs. They've also done some more work with webgl.

This will probably be my default browser. I was using chromium before.

I remember when Firefox 2.6.0.10 was fast and stable. Lately Mozilla seems to have been messing up. At least not as badly as KDE though. Another thing I don't like is the fast changing version numbers. Wreaks havoc on add-on compatibility, add ons being one of the main reasons I use FF.
