A new process that simultaneously combines the light and heat of solar radiation to generate electricity could offer more than double the efficiency of existing solar cell technology, say the Stanford engineers who discovered it and proved that it works. The process, called "photon enhanced thermionic emission," or PETE, could reduce the costs of solar energy production enough for it to compete with oil as an energy source.

We need a paint that can asorb the suns energy and have the abality to transfer and store this energy with nano chips directing the energy to some kind of battery.
You could paint cars, building, streets, benches, well basicaly anything exposed to the sun.

Pssssh they must have already built a time machine, and came to this thread to steal my idea.
I may just be cynical as fuck about my country, but I don't think we'll switch to a renewable source after oil. I bet that oil companies will come up with some new fuel to sell us and our politicians will make damn sure it catches on.
That's pretty cool. I was just saying to myself yesterday that solar paint would be an awesome product. Your entire roof could easily be turned into a giant solar panel. And your driveway, and even the sides of your house depending on what colors the paint will be available in.
Solar cells are nigger in color. This means they absorb, and retain heat. This means increasing the heat trapped in our atmosphere, and again this translated into
GOLBAL WARMING. Unless of cos these solar panes can change, efficiently or 99%ly all these heat into electricity, they're not the answer.
dumbass
Your piece of liberal color blind nigger lover ... arent you ??
There wouldn't be nearly enough light and heat being reflected by solar panels to equal the amount of light and heat trapped by the burning of fossil fuels.
