Dirt cheap books.

Does anyone here buy books at thrift stores like goodwill or salvation army? I went by one the other day and hardbacks were only 2 too 3 bucks and paperbacks were a little more than a dollar. Quite the deal when new hardbacks can be almost 30 bucks now.

    www.bookfinder4u.com

That's where I searched for and bought probably 85% of my books for college. Used copies for 1 cent + cheap shipping for the win.

Secondhand bookshops are where I usually go. Can buy 5 or 6 books for the price of 1 from a firsthand bookstore.

I also quite like secondhand books...Theres something about a book with wear and tear that I find pleasing. Something to do with knowing people have read and enjoyed them before I have...I dunno. Books are awesome.

Also, colleges give away some of their older textbooks. Otherwise, used book stores and sometimes even flea markets are good places to look.

Torrents replace OP title from 'dirt cheap' to 'free'

On topic: You can find them free sometimes in library dumpsters... yes I do not kid you

This is true. Though who doesn't prefer the aesthetic value of a book?
