what is the best way to conceal a firearm on your person for personal defense?

and what are good small compact firearms that fit the criteria for good stopping power/conceal ability?

I think a gun would move a lot if you jump / run with it clipped to your pants. Also, I thought most dress belts aren't strong enough to hold the weight of a gun. It'll start sagging in the place where you clip the gun fast, revealing the location of the gun and taking away the element of surprise.

AFAIK, the best way to carry concealed is a dedicated holster on a strong belt inside your waistband. But it's really a personal thing, so try a couple good holsters yourself. Oh, and don't ever carry in the small of your back. If you fall on the gun, you'll break your back.

And as soon as that kid moves he leaves a trail of guns behind. A shotgun down is pants? (i loled) but that is completely impractical.

i thinking of small arms for PRACTICAL concealment. what do you prefer?, I've never concealed a firearm, but i always thought the best weapon was the element of surprise.

The most easily concealable would be a snub nosed revolver of some kind. Just get a 38 special and an ankle holster. Like others pointed out that clip on thing looks like it would cause the pants to sag badly where the gun is.

A strong side hip holster worn inside the waistband or outside the waistband is the best way to carry a firearm.

Nearly anyone can conceal any sized handgun with a high quality body hugging holster, so you don't necessarily need to carry a sub compact.

In terms of being "universally concealable" I could recommend the GLOCK 19, as it has plenty of capacity, is small enough to be concealed a bit easier than a full size GLOCK 17, yet the grip is the right size so you can hold it more comfortably than a subcompact pistol.
