Just to let you know France has had Paratroopers in Afghanistan for pretty much as long as the war has been raging. They simply didn't support the Iraq war, which I agree with.

I'm also going to be super pissed off if this mess escalates and draws us in before my reserve period ends in a few months

Being a damned paratrooper/completed ranger school really sucks in that sense. FFFUuUUuuuuuu:o

Anyway I doubt anything will kick off and even if it did I doubt China would want o get too involved. If they did it would damage them economically since they export a lot of shit to America etc. Also although China is trying to be self suffient they aren't doing to great, and they still import loads of food. Also I'm pretty sure China only supports North Korea to troll the US.
