Vortex

I feel the pull of the eternal vortex, sucking me into infinity
Tumultuous currents shifting in a never ending hunger
I don’t wanna get sucked in yet; no consciousness should face God on his own terms
Permanent structures last forever, or at least until they are broken down into parts
Broken down into unity, terrible and relentless
Love is a harsh mistress; the bitch just doesn’t let up
I can’t stand it anymore; the chromatic brilliance is blinding
Shading my eyes in holy starlight
Waltzing with the flickering shadows cast by mother moon
Brother moon and father sun
Inseminating rocks with tree’s and greedy virus

Glinting apollonian columns thrusting themselves in violation of the goddess
A pity they need polishing to stay so pretty
Old man pyramid entombing the imagination in its own eternal crypt
Eternal but it never lasts forever
Step outside of the vortex only to get a rude awakening
You gotta pay for your crimes
Prostitute your permanence for a never ending death
Aware yet unconscious
Reflecting visions of humanity into the eyes of the muse
Cutting up the soul and distributing it to the starving bums
They haven’t eaten for days, and they don’t give a fuck
Whatever they can get to digest
Whatever they can get to stop the stomach from bothering them

Mama I know it isn’t a bad thing
Grocery shopping keeps me busy
But I never want to eat it
It just serves as a buffer for my wine
Keeps me moving ever onwards into everlasting infinity
So fleeting I almost missed it today
But I don’t mind; it is the nature of things
The goddess is a whore
She sucks you off, but you gotta pay her first
I run out of money, but I always come back
