+ two decent web cameras

I'm not justifying Apple's pricing, I still think they charge way too much, but you're missing a lot of things out so this isn't really a fair comparison.
The only thing I'd ever buy from Apple is an iPod. My girl has an iPad and swears by it yet I can't stand the lack of Flash support. Why the fuck would you buy something that can use the Internet, but not render half of the sites? Retarded invention. As for Steve Jobs, he may be ill, but I think he's a fuckin' Satanic scumbag for filling the world with bleeding-heart Liberals who have more money than sense.
Unless you happen to be the girl I put my dick inside
I'm pretty sure the mother board and 2 x 4 core Intel proc's are going to cost you $1,400 alone at least regardless of whether it's Mac or PC. I don't think there are any, if so rare and expensive, dual processor slot mobos for consumers out there. You'd really need the Xeon platform otherwise it would be a complete waste of money. Plus you have to think Intel's newest procs use DDR3 triple channel which is fucking ridiculous just for the 6GB kit (something near $200+ easy). I see the point, Apple charges an extra grand in a half for everything that would normally be found for $2,000 on a PC platform. The prices are just skewed wrong that I can't slam the Mac as much as I'd like to
+ $40?
+ Is that really useful?
+ It's a desktop, I don't see why you'd need a 179 degree viewing angle, but that's down to the specific monitor anyway
+ FreeBSD for dummies?
+ lolol
I wasn't justifying it, I was just pointing out that the OP missed them out. Your post makes it pretty clear that you're the one with the problem; jumping to the defence and all.
Also, I was talking about missing out operating system included in the price. The Mac comes with one preinstalled + software (iLife) extras. The desktop doesn't come with an OS at all. That's great if you want to install a free OS but it's not really a fair comparison. It's like comparing a Ferrari and a go kart; fully kitted out vs. barebones.
Also, their tech support is pretty good; you have a dead pixel? They give you a whole new computer. Free.
Is that what the man at the MAC store told your mom right before her broke ass bought you a PC?
Gah, I despise the local Mac guy at BestBuy. I've never used the damn OS yet the amount of shit the fucker rams down people's throats tends to make me think that I know more about his product than his.
On a side note I've always wondered why Ipods lack FM capabilities. Every other mp3 player I've had does yet these don't.

Exactly this. I can't stand the fact that you can't do anything which requires flash, basically eliminating about 80 percent of the sites which you can actually use properly. That means no Flash games on that big screen, no Youtube, no videos, no motherless, etc etc.

You proved a point there DFG, for the price of a top range Mac you could build a stupidly powerful PC, Quad-SLI graphics and everything you wanted.
80% of Apples users must just think "Oooh the new mac book is shinier than the last one, i gotta have that.
The screens alone on the PC would cost approx $400 each.

That was a fucking stupid comparison.
Pc's are cool if you have cash to "hook them up"
MACS are pre hooked up and own the shit out of Pc any day.
