Broken mirror

Found this while looking through some old high school work, thought I'd share it:


Broken mirror
Widest sky
My dearest son
returns home
with no bed to lie

Shattered dreams
Darkest night
The sound of
empathetic silence
ceases not the blight

Fractured bottles
Weakest cure
Dionysus Blue
brings panacea
but only to lure

Tattered rope
Strongest knot
Wishful thinking
leads us to realize
we hang there to rot
