  • OP, why did the first one die? Goldfish can naturally get older than 30 years and some have been known to get 70. Since I doubt that yours died from old age, there most be something in the water that killed it. Whatever it is, it could be weakning the survivour to a state where you think it is "sad".
  • It is impossible to have an aquarium that requires absolutly NO maintance. Each time you feed the fish, you add nutrients to the water that will over time get poisnous to the inhabitants. The easiest way to get the toxins out of the water is by changing part of it. The second easiest is adding a chemical to the filter…
  • yes
  • The Gathering - Leaves. This version is live from the time when bands didn´t have to use playback and knew how to rock the growd. (Hidden message to Anekke since I´m sure she´s @ totse :) : Get your shit together and reunite "The Gathering"!) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dSpHDT4XeJw
  • Nice Camper Cart :) I prefer hammocks though. Easy setup and lightweight.
  • The Gathering - Mandylion
  • Go somewhere you feel safe and comfortable. Personally I would go to the woods, but not all people feel the same. Most important is that there aren´t unknown people around who can bring you down.
  • Great movie. One of my favorite manga along with "Ghost in the Shell"
  • That I use the Glock 78 is in no way to say that it is better than the others mentioned already. Actually I said the opposite, but it is however much cheaper (you can buy/replace it 4-6 times for the price of some the others mentioned). As to the shape of the blade a "survival knife" should indeed be a military style knife…
  • Good thread, info and some really nice (and slightly expensive) knives. Personally I carry the Glock Field Knife (G78) whenever I go to "the great outdoors" and I have been really happy with it. It is in no way as nice as some of the other ones mentioned here but it is cheap(er), very robust and can take alot of abuse.…
  • I heard the French just took credit for it (as if someone can actually get credit for "inventing" moving on stuff...) but in reality it is from Russia and used by the street criminals to run away from cops.
  • Global warming is no scam! The scam is that it supposedly is caused by human activity. Earth will warm up a few degrees before the next ice age. Oceans will rise and we should be preparing for that insted of doing pointless CO2 cuts and taxing... Build levies and relocate the most exposed people. Thinking we can in some…
  • Thats what I was talking about in the OP and my list is of what I carry to work or in a "Everyday" situation. A few people seem to have snuck in their bug-out kits etc. but thats still good info :)
  • Agreed :) PM sent.
  • Though they are not trying to kill eachother please check this vid: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6jhDOPblXcA Does is seem/look farely realistic as to how you picture medieval swordfights? If so, at what time do you see a single cutting move? And please do the same with this one:…
  • There is no ignorance in regards to swords or their use through history in my above post. I am a bachelor in history with emphasis on military history and a 15+ year interest in medieval fighting and I am also a collector of swords (and other weapons). I have been practicing armed combat (Escrima) and happen to know what…
  • Note on Katana vs. broadsword type swords. The primary difference: when using a katana you make cuts, whereas when using a straight sword you make blows. One cuts, the other crushes. This difference gives two distinctivly different fighting styles (besides different types of injuries to your "opponent"). And don´t practice…

  • Epitaph is with no doubt my fav!
  • Ziiing!! Your wish has been granted!
  • David Gilmore Eric Clapton Robert Fripp
  • Someone should have told you to STFU and get off the phone...
  • I would go with pre-fabricated grips. Not only do you need them sturdy but also with a rough surface allowing friction. The pre-fab ones are not very expensive (especially when compared to making molds and the time spent on the whole process). Sounds like a nice project tho :) Been planning a small wall too in my kids room…
  • Ban cars! They kill many people than guns.
  • Love the sounds and smells and getting away from all the morons packed and stacked around me in small appartments. Hate the ticks!
  • US isnt special in this. There was an incident from Copenhagen years ago, where some local media was told not to film a riot. Later the cops beat some dude to pulp (who ended up in a coma and still is after 15+ years) and the video evidence was excluded as they had been told not to film... During in the more recent…
  • ... or Shanksville. And also WTC 7, as Fry pointed out, is simply too far out. Silverstein admitted it was "pulled".

  • I´d go for a revolver. Minimal moving parts and cleaning and maintance.
  • This is not a conspiracy theory but a conspiracy cover-up!

  • Im playing on alphawow.net It´s not overpopulated and gives 3x XP and honour. Almost no lag though a few newer quests are bugged and they are always a patch behind.
  • Great looking pics and thread. Most tortoises are endangered and under the CITES protection = proof of breeding must follow the animal from birth through all sales in its life. The new rules require a picture of the bottom shield (which is unique in each individual) for some species. The irony though is that the Greek…
  • I don´t rule anything out either. Show me evidence and I will draw a conclusion. Personally I think the "Never-landed-on-the-moon" theory is one of the weakest ones, though I have a hard time explaining the camera that pans and follows the spacecraft after take-off, considering the delay in the signal from the cam/moon to…
  • I´m not allowed to carry firearms :( But I missed a pocket and forgot some stuff though :) (also added to the OP): Hot glue Cyanoacrylate Tweezers Dental floss 2 BIC lighters Magnyfing "glass" with tick remover Paper napkins Pencil
  • I also cleaned my fingernails with a 8in knife, but that doesn´t make it the best tool for the job.
  • Used to fence and have some experience with Ving Tsun and Latosa Escrima. Not very active at the moment tho...

  • I always carry a multi-tool with two blades. When out in "nature" I bring a Glock 78 Field knife and a Cold Steel Magnum Kukri Machete if needed. I also collect bladed weapons and own several swords and other knives. Most worth mentioning is my katana that I made from an old sabre. I made everything but the blade from raw…
  • Wind, Solar, Tidal and Wave energy. Must employ all and every measure needed for the particular region. E.g. solar power sucks way up north but wave and tidel generators might be good.
  • I would say yes. It is the most potent mushroom in Europe. When I take them, I use them dried. About one gram is usually enough to get a fun buzz and to get tripping I would take 3-5 grams. I have only hallucinated from them a few times though and never "seen" anything that wasn´t there. I have only "seen" existing things…
  • Yes, I live in Europe (Denmark) and not the slightest confused :) They can be found abundently in Danish forests from late summer to the first frost. Some claim (also here in DK) that they can only be found in pastures and fields (esp. where cows have grazed), but tell that to the ´shrooms. The ones I have found (kilos…
  • I found lotz of Liberty Caps (Psilocybe semilanceata) in the woods around where I live. They grow in the same places as the years before, so people have their own secret "hunting grounds". They tend to be easier to find if you eat the first few you find :)
