48fps and The Hobbit

Well, Peter Jackson has announced that The Hobbit which will be released around December will be using 48fps format instead of the old 1920's 24fps. 48fps is double the rate of what consumers are used to seeing. Right now, majority of twitter users and facebook users are looking up information about 48fps and even yours truly has been looking for some technical information.     Looks like it could be a pretty nice film, just by the FPS alone. I bet people will go and see it based just on the FPS aspect lol. Also nice site with the baseballs to show what it looks like. Wasn't expecting that :thumbsup:
