Recover text lost in a form (Firefox)

By RemadE

If like me, you are a fast typer and then you click too fast, somehow fucking up by going to another website or just carelessly deleted all that you have typed, then fear no more.

Ever had one of those “oh $*#@” moments when you’ve finally finished filling out a long form, and hit submit only to see an error message? And when you hit the back button, the form was blank… If so, you know you need Lazarus. And if not, you have a chance to install Lazarus before disaster strikes!

Using Lazarus, you can recover lost forms with a single click. Lazarus automagically encrypts and saves every form as you type. If the submission fails or if you forget to send it or your computer or browser crashes, then you can return to the page and recover the form data you originally entered.)))))

I frequently have to use this in Firefox to recover text I have typed and it saves it almost instantly, so no more pain for fast typers.

How to Use

Go to the Download page and install it for Firefox. You should know how to do this. Just click it, a dialogue box will come up, install, restart your browser.

Upon restarting your browser, a new tab will open telling you how to use Lazarus. You can read it, or just do the next step…

Go to a site where you have to type into a form (like here), then delete the text, navigate to a new site, close the tab…whatever. Go back to that site or any other form site, right click in the form area and select the following:

You can now click your text and select it, recovering everything you just typed.
