After the Biggest Speech of Biden’s Presidency, What He is Doing Next is Absolute Ridiculous

President Biden interrupted his “vacation” to emerge from his Camp David retreat on Monday to address the nation about the disastrous collapse of Afghanistan on Sunday. The collapse had followed Biden’s decision in April to withdraw troops precipitously against the advice of his generals.

“This is not in our national security interest,” Biden claimed at his speech on Monday. “It is not what the American people want.”

“It is not what our troops, who have sacrificed so much over the past two decades, deserve,” he added.

“I know my decision will be criticized,” Biden continued. “But I would rather take all that criticism than pass this decision onto another President of the United States. Yet another one. A fifth one.”

“The buck stops with me,” Biden also said. Despite that claim, Joe Biden earlier blamed Donald Trump for the current situation in a statement issued on Saturday.

“When I came to office, I inherited a deal cut by my predecessor — which he invited the Taliban to discuss at Camp David on the eve of 9/11 of 2019—that left the Taliban in the strongest position militarily since 2001 and imposed a May 1, 2021 deadline on U.S. Forces,” Biden said. “Shortly before he left office, he also drew U.S. Forces down to a bare minimum of 2,500.”

The Wall Street Journal slammed Biden for blaming his predecessor Donald Trump for the precipitous withdrawal.

“Note that Mr. Biden is more critical of his predecessor than he is of the Taliban,” WSJ wrote in a scathing editorial. “The President has spent seven months ostentatiously overturning one Trump policy after another on foreign and domestic policy. Yet now he claims Afghanistan policy is the one he could do nothing about.”

After Biden’s speech, he headed for the exits as reporters tried in vain to shout questions at him. It turns out that he will keep going, all the way back to Camp David.

‘President Biden is headed back to Camp David after delivering remarks on Afghanistan,’ the White House said. Unbelievable.

“Biden retreats from the capital amid questions over his competence and capacity to lead,” Comfortably Smug remarked on Twitter.

That’s right, America’s Commander-in-Chief is back on vacation, joining White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki, at a time when Americans need answers more than ever. The American people are being abandoned by their leadership. It’s a complete disgrace.
