edited July 2010 in Tech & Games
I know its for untraceable conversations, but can you like run in though AIM? Or is it a chat client itself? Noob question I know, but I read a little about it and didn't exactly see.

Pidgin was formerly known as GAIM.

It's not necessarily used for untraceable chat. It's a multi protocol IM client, that has an encryption plugin and some other security stuff.
In laymans terms,That means you can connect to every type of IM with one app.

It functions like audium or trillian.

It was the de facto IM default for linux until the top three distros changed to Empaphy.

It's an IM client which supports plugins, such as OTR messaging (encryption).

Pidgin is swiss IM knife and you can also checkout digsby.

Both of these software support connecting to different accounts at the same time.
