That Marijuana is now legal in Ontario (since May 16). And we don't need stupid medical permits. Take that California!

Because we live in the year 2011. If it were 2003 than this might be relevant news. Google is your friend. Use it.

This happened in 2011, the news story below is from April 13th 2011.

Ontario judge declares criminalization of pot unconstitutional
Ontario is one step closer to the legalization of marijuana after the Ontario Superior Court struck down two key parts of the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act that prohibit the possession and production of pot.

The court declared the rules that govern medical marijuana access and the prohibitions laid out in Sections 4 and 7 of the act "constitutionally invalid and of no force and effect" on Monday, effectively paving the way for legalization.

If the government does not respond within 90 days with a successful delay or re-regulation of marijuana, the drug will be legal to possess and produce in Ontario, where the decision is binding.

So if the middle of July rolls around, and the Ontario government has not made any progress fixing the medical law, cannabis will be completely legal in Ontario.

Don't worry. The government has lots more aces up their sleeves before July. They aren't going to release their greasy clench on the lucrative and financially satisfying Mafioso operation they have going against pot-smokers, and they're not going to give up the hundreds of millions in free dollars they steal from pot smokers every day of the year through fines, property appropriation, free community service and feeding the lucrative business the jails perpetrate. You can surely count on these hairless monkeys to be conspiring and scheming in some exorbitantly furnished backroom on Parliament Hill as we speak, whispering and muttering under their breath and looking at all the available options.

So stoners may soon be able to smoke weed for their... medical conditions... free of concern about being harrassed by the police.

Hmmm. I'm sure the police have better things to be doing anyway.
