Thought about getting them for a while, just not sure if I would be comfortable with the labels people would automatically give you. They do seem to attract a certain type of (hot) girl too.

And being white, you need to make sure that they dont look like total shit (even though they ARE dreads). Blond hair dreads look pretty bad in my opinion, but with a little effort anythings possible.
They wouldn't look so good on me. I keep my hair short on the sides, longer on top. Like a faux hawk.
They are pretty badass when done right though.

They look really bad, way too thin. Thin ones look better on girls I think. This type men need to get I think (this guy is hawaiian so don't know if that counts as black/african hair type...
I used to date a girl with dreads and imo never again.
