I'm not sure if this is the right forum, but Im not sure where else it could go.
Does anybody have any idea what kind of battery capacity ( V and AH) electric scooters use?
If not, how should I search for it?
the obvious, google it, yielded nothing yet.
maybe you guys could help with search terms

It's up to the scooter, but most are 12 V. The AH can vary.

Also, I googled 'motor scooter battery' and found this http://www.ebatteriestogo.com/Cross_Reference_DB/nonMC_Cross_Reference/Motor_Scooter_Cross_Reference_Mfg_NE3.asp

You obviously didn't look very hard :o

All the razor scooters have a 24V lead acid gel battery.

E-100 is 4.5AH with a 7A current draw at max throttle.
    E-150 is 10AH with a 12A current draw.
    E-200 is 14AH with a 15A current draw.
    E-300 is 14AH with a 20A current draw.
    E-350 is 16AH with a 25A current draw.

I had the e100, 150, and 350. At best you will get one mile out of them. If used often, the batteries need to be replaced in a year. Plus they are heavy as fuck, definitely don't do hills, and you look like a tool riding them. Your best bet will be one of these. They go much faster (~30mph top speed) and use very little gasoline. Hills and grass are no problem at all.

Make sure your bike has good bearings. I painted mine all black, including the motor. (sanded to the metal and then used semi gloss rustoleum. Looks awesome, and the chicks dig it.
