They had a special flight package perk with certain conditions attached (part of the job) but lost it due to abuse (They were flying partners around on it. Bad!) To compensate for the loss, they've given themselves pay rises a few days ago. For fucks sakes, they abused something & are rewarding themselves for it.

The rest of the country are busting their asses off trying to survive on high costs & the same fucked up wages we've had for ages. These fuckers get more pay rises than I can shit. To add salt to the wound, they plan on giving themselves another one in January.

Just yesterday over here, a newly appointed senator says he's not using his new position to try to become a member of parliament. Reason? He had to take a dramatic pay cut to $132,300 :facepalm:

Well, I dont know about the specifics of the guy, but he is right in what he says - if you want decent politicians.
Unless some one has risen to a very high level in their profession, that is who you want - they have proven they can make things work on one field and are going to try and transfer those skills to another.
Otherwise, what you end up with is people who have studied law, maybe practiced a little and worked a hell of a lot for free as a political researcher and are brown nosed enough to sniff money out of people.
Pretty much the only decent politicians are those who are retired military and / or successful businessmen.
Of course, this is a broad and sweeping statement - Belesconi is a very successful businessman and he is a snake.
This is typical of most politicians. Here, they fly first class at tax-payers expense hoping that the public won't find out. Makes me :mad:
