Naked Lunch

Just finished it. What a headfuck. Brilliant prose though. Brought up some very depraved imagery, the likes I have yet to find in any other book I've read. There is not much point discussing plot because of the spontaneous nature of the work, but it is very interesting insight into the mind of a drug-withdrawing/inducing Burroughs..It's hard to think this was published in 1959 as well, that really blows my mind

Definitely a recommendation for any totsean.

It's an awesome book! A friend reccommended it to me and we watched the film, which was a total headfuck. A bit like a North-African Fear and Loathing. There were some parts of the book where I found myself muttering "the fuck is going on here?" and the constant referral to paedophillic sodomy, but it was all good fun! I have photos of fucked up pages from the book somewhere. Will post them when I find them.

Hehe, I will be checking out the movie soon. Does it have any resemblance to the book?

As with most films, there is some deviance from the book. Have you seen the trailer? I'd say it's more "logical" than the book as it's not as "all over the place" as each chapter in the book is independent from the last. The film is more continuous and full of insects.

Yeah. That is a damn good movie.

Naked Lunch is probably my favorite book. They should read it in schools instead of that Shakespeare and instill children with proper morals and accurate reality tunnels :D

Movie does a pretty decent job. Plus, it's David Cronenberg so it's fucking trippy and full of body horror.

However, if you like the way WSB writes, check out The Nova Trilogy. Extensive usage of the cut-up technique.

Just started reading this a couple of days ago. And all I can say is this book is a total mindfuck. I just got done with the gay sex with Johnny and I forgot his name, but wow is all I have to say.

That movie did stuff to my head. I loved it. I didn't realise there was a book, which may remedy my inability to find the movie.
