You may very well say "Fuckin Sand Niggas" or "Fuck Egypt! We follow the first amendment" yah? Well guess again, wikileaks is a shining example of abuse of the first amendment.
This is bigger than our freedom of speech people. The message here is clear on a larger scale. Today Egypt, tomorrow totse.info
The interwebz will soon be d00med. :(
A mass protest has been forming by thousands of Egyptians who have decided to let President Hosni Mubarak who has been in power for 30 years know that they want a change.
The government responded by denying its citizens access to the internet inside and outside the country since Thursday night.
Andree Toonk from an online monitoring site said that 88% of the internet in Egypt has been shut down and there are millions of people who are not able to log on.
Officials say that a majority of internet service providers are down and that it is not just a case of certain websites like Facebook being blocked as is what happened before.

Egyptians noticed that they couldn’t log on to the internet around 10:30pm GMT and there is just one internet service provider which is continuing to work despite the fact that there are almost no other companies which are active.

Many of the protesters in Egypt are members, or sympathizers, of the Muslim Brotherhood, states Rolf. Despite the authoritarian and un-democratic nature of Mubarak, his grip is preventing the extremists from rising, therefore, Rolf believes that it is in the Western world's best interest to support Mubarak, for the last thing we need right now is another Iran, states Rolf.

A good point you make there "Oh Great Wise Rolf" However! the West will naturally support it because the West will follow suite eventually, if they can't control information leaks to the masses. :(

Muslim leaders are populists, and locked into an agenda defined by their religion. I wonder why the Egyptian people would prefer to overthrow a stable long standing government in favor of one with a religious agenda? Possibly radical Muslim agit-prop?

Either way, the Egyptian government is directly attacking free speech by denying its citizens to be heard. Petition signed.

Interwebz in general was an abuse of freedom of speech. The information was always there. All one needed to do was access it. ;)

    Mubarak is a dumbass.
If Egypt had unrestrcited internet, the protest would end because they would all stay inside all day on the computer like americans do.
    Boredom usually leads to destruction.

I am disappointed in these Egyptian protesters and I hope that Mubarak crushes them with an Iron fist. They have an opportunity to bring real change to Egypt and yet they support the Islamic brotherhood.
