Boobies
Boobies are seabirds that live in tropical and sub-tropical areas. They have a proportionally heavy body with long, pointy wings; wedged tails; long, pointy beaks; and short feet. They prey mainly on fish and dive into the water to catch them. Air sacs under their skin cushion the impact upon entry into water. They nest in colonies are are highly territorial. There are usually two eggs per nest. Courtship involves males performing a dance with fancy footwork, and pointing their heads towards the sky and making a long whistle sound.
