How much salt do you need to kill grass?

edited April 2011 in Man Cave
When killing grass with salt, how dense does it all have to be to take an effect? For example, could you sprinkle it out fairly sparingly or does it have to be poured out pretty heavily to have an effect?

It takes a fairly dense concentration if you are looking for quick results. You are changing the salinity and Ph of the soil and that is what kills the grass.

    Would another chemical work better?

You should check my other thread which is on the topic of killing grass. There are a ton of methods suggested in there, so check it out :)

Thanks for the response TDR

Already stated in the other thread, but concentrated pool shock in water will kill the shit out of a lawn. It also seeps into the ground so that the target doesn't walk outside to see mounds of salt everywhere.

Weed killer will do it.... if you really want to fuck it up:

1-2L of HCL, strong as you can get (sold as driveway cleaner)
    30M roll of Al foil

Step 1: Add Al foil to HCL, scrunch it up into balls and just put them in the acid
Step 2: Keep adding Al foil until it's no longer reacting
Step 3: Dilute with water to required volume
Step 4: Fuck up anything living

The salt thing requires way to much salt, it's a longer term solution.

I just poured a bag onto the grass until it was about 2-3cm deep. Worked a treat, still dead over a year later. Great looking penis :D
