Interesting and fun experiment to try with eggs. Simply submerge an egg in vinegar for 24 hours. The acid in the vinegar will dissolve the shell leaving you with an intact transparent egg. The membrane is actually pretty tough, you can handle it and toss it around gently, plus it just looks fricking cool.

I think we did this in middle school to demonstrate permeable membranes or something. People eat them though? Sounds nasty.

Also, would these make good egg bombs to throw at cars, or am I better off just using the standard grade A egg?

Pickled eggs are hard boiled and shelled.

And standard raw eggs in the shell make a more satisfying 'crunch' sound upon impact.

That's actually pretty cool, I think I might give this a shot when I get bored. Too bad I hate vinegar though, I think I'd give it a huge wash afterwards.
