Using Skype Like an IRC Channel

So, I was chatting with Raven via Skype and I wrote this /facepalm and instantly I got this message from Skype. Just like in the IRC.

I have no fucking clue what this is but after reading about it here . It basically creates a Skype Channel where you can invite people and do other things. I mean it's a great feature. Hell, you could even host a semi channel in this fashion but I think the user might have to keep the client open but still it's a great thing to experiment with.

    Yep, that's the skype group chat feature. I use it all the time.

    And you don't need to keep the client open, the group chat is created on skype's servers.

    I used to be in a group chat with a few people from college, it's a pretty good feature. You can also click a button to call everybody in the group chat and turn it into a big conference call :D

    Yea i have group calls/chats with 6-7 people alot with skype, it works pretty seamlessly.
