How do you like the Totse of today?

    Wow, brilliant derailment there

In response to Faggotkai - We have a fuck load of content here. We are a hard working community and we're churning out new content all the fucking time, so don't tell me otherwise. How do I know this? Oh, maybe it's because I'm an EDITOR and handle all the stuff which is submitted, let alone writing over 50 guides for Totse.info since I started my membership here. Content is strong here, I assure you. Yes, we have a porn section - it attracts a lot of attention from fap-hungry teenagers, which is great for SEO and rankings - no one actually posts there, yet it does wonders for us at the moment. Maybe in the future, it will be removed and we can continue without it. You have to understand the role it plays to see it's use, and I just spelled it out for you nice and clearly.

We have a good number of members on here. How many times do we need to explain the fact that we're a NEW community, meaning that we have to attract the attention of NEW users from all over the internet. Doing constant battle with other forums, social networking sites and the like is extremely hard work. You should know all about this - you post on Totse2.

People are posting all the time. Hey look, I'm writing out a post right now! Of course, this is another area which you wouldn't know about, seeing as you're very rarely on Totse anyway. Quit making accusations regarding areas which you don't know anything about. All of our active members make posts every single day of the week, and the majority of them are constructive and informative. Tell me you'd rather see a shitstorm of shitty one liners?

We have a direction, and it's very clear indeed. We're Totse, we're here to provide information and discussion on anything under the sun while utilizing free speech, as well as giving users a sense of security and trust when using the site. We're an extremely smart community as a whole, and primarily, our aim is to grow, expand, and share information.

I tell you one thing, I'd like the Totse of today a whole load better if people didn't shit all over my thread. Why don't you use the PM system if you have something to say to each other? Either that or take your derailing conversation to the very convenient Bitch and Moan section.

Other than that, I'd like to say thanks to everyone else for replying to this thread in such a good fashion. I really like this place, and most of the replies in this thread clearly show that we, as a community, have the power to do share a lot of information through the use of text on this forum! If you apply such long and interesting posts to the other sections here, this place would suddenly become even more fun to use :)

There is a community worthy of merit. But it is not the community of yesteryear.

Back in the day if you ended up lurking/posting on totse you probably werent one of the normal kids - maybe you were the smart one, maybe you were the dangerous one, the underachiever, the ADHD, the dreamer, the whatever - you were there for one oddity or another. But you stayed because there were people who you had some sort of a connection with.

The internet is not longer the master race of people it once was, it is diluted with ages younger and younger, constant trolling, occasional raids, apathy from potential contributors and fatigue from those who do.

If trx100 has written over 50 articles does that suggest that the articles are being created as a collaborative effort across the board?

Im not saying they arent great articles, im not saying they arent shit - im saying that the blood is all coming from the one warrior, should they fall will the battle be lost? Diversity of articles, posters and interests makes for a richer environment for innovation, creativity, new knowledge, powerful thinking and insights.

But for contribution to diversify you need the very same people to be here who have no real motivation to be here other than personal gratification.

The old totse was easy to find but even so it was a secret totse club - nowadays you know that it isnt easy to find, but it isnt a secret club.

Personally, I love it. Every time I come back and read threads, it reminds me more and more of the old totse. Sure, its a little slow by comparison, but there's more than enough content on the forums/textfiles to keep us all occupied well past the point that we should've left our desks for the real world.

I miss UBB. I miss the .com. I don't like how unpopulated .info is. I'm guessing Zoklet has far more users? For some reason I regard .info as the true continuation of Totse. It feels to me as if this is the same Totse and that it never died at all and I have no personal bias to say that, so well done.

You can't claim to be Totse. Totse is gone and a few sites have borrowed the name to try to continue the legacy. Claiming you are Totse just show's how weak your argument really is because you have to hide behind the name.

Look like somebody is getting there posts written for them by a ghost writer in Ottawa.

What the fuck are you talking about? We ARE Totse - Totse.info. Totse2 is also Totse. It's an abbreviation, and yes, you are correct - other sites have borrowed the name to continue the legacy. This does not make my argument weak in the slightest.

Nothing? Members can do whatever they want, it's not up to me where they choose to post. I don't really see what you're getting at here.

I prefered the old totse, who wouldn't? I was a lurker, but goddamn did that place mold me into the person I am today. I learn more from totse than I think I did during high school. I would usually get home from school and just read the forum for a couple of hours and just learn and absorb all this information. I was pretty much getting out of school to go back to school. If it weren't for totse, I don't want to think of the person I could've been.
