yeh I'v got some metal that sounds pretty good, Rob Zombie, static x and devil driver sound good. I even found that ZZ top sounds good (not metal though).

Fuck yeah. Have you heard mein land yet?. The two new songs that they have released are pretty good.
Personally I'd try and download all my stuff in 320K so it's better quality, tends to make the bass frequencies (and the rest of them) come through a lot clearer.
