It allows you to search for MP3's from servers and shit. I've been browsing through peoples servers and found some weird ass shit though, such as family pictures and even a video of the 2002 Japanese Yo-Yo championships.

A couple of years ago just searching "index of /" and a file name would have gotten you all the results you need.

I just love being able to look through people's shit. I bet they don't even notice that you can view everything on their server.
