The funny thing I've found is that some wafer tumbler cam locks are easier to pick open than they are to relock. :D Also, while most car keys are double sided, not all the locks are. Many locks are actually single sided, and the key is double sided to keep the usable life of the key the same as older designs that used…
^^ Thats a neat video, but heres one of my favorites. They really let her rip! Also, here are a couple of my full size favoriteshttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MOiwhk_xNs8
Have fun with them. I haven't done much picking for about 8-9 years now, but it was crazy how easy most locks can be opened. security pins can be a major PITA.
I too used to be a big Apple Computer supporter and still own a lot of older Apple hardware. However, I don't care much for Apple Inc. I like pretty much everything they had up until they dropped the PowerPC chips, although I wasn't happy with how since about 2001 the overall quality seemed to be dropping. They were still…
^^Amen to that, although its already happening. Any GM car equipped with Onstar 2009 and newer can be remotely shut down by the police. http://abcnews.go.com/Business/Autos/story?id=3706113&page=1#.T-v0kZHNkYI
Well, I haven't actually swapped the head yet. The engine is still running strong, and I'm putting some time into other things that need more attention than the engine does. The new head has a Boport 1.5 cam installed in it. The only information I have is that the cam is .436 lift, and that it is for 3000-6000+ RPM. No…
I got my tucked bumpers about a week ago, and I did a quick test fit last weekend to see what I need to modify to get them to fit properly. I still need to get some 2" angle iron to use as a support as the bumpers are made of fiberglass.
Nice find. I'm not really into dubstep, but I've been throwing around the idea of sampling an old Apple II drive starting up, loading, and then misreading a disk, and using those sounds for the buzzy worbly sound that seems to dominate most of the tunes I've heard, although I have no idea where to start and I have very…
I had a shop doing the repairs as it needed some serious work that was well beyond our capabilities, but we're going to finish the bodywork and paint it ourselves. I had been hoping to be farther along but I've had some setbacks and finishing the bodywork is not a top priority right now.
Same here, I own and have owned several 68000 series Macs, a couple PowerPC Macs, and a couple of Apple II series systems. I do have an iPod as well, but I will probably never own an Intel Mac, and I definitely wouldn't buy one. The changeover to Intel chips as well as the overpriced "updates" for the OS pretty much put me…
Well, I got the interior stripped out, along with getting the chrome trim removed. Drilling out the screws holding the wheelwell mouldings on was the worst of it. It took us almost 2 hours to drill out the 16 rusty screws out to remove it. As planned, on that following Tuesday, I drove it out to the restoration shop, and…
^^ Thanks!!! There's a gentleman around here that owns a RHD XB 2 door built into a Mad Max clone. Its one of my favourite local cars!! I know the interior is a bit different, but I've gotten used to it (this is my daily driver and my only car). As the interior is in great shape, its at the bottom of my list for any…
A distributor gear. The the gear that goes on the shaft of the distributor. Its more fun to call it that, and faster than saying or typing the word distributor.
Update: I sheared a dizzy gear sometime in mid September, and it just sheared another one. It turned out that the previous replacement was one size too small and it worked itself halfway out and sheared out. I drilled the gear and shaft up to 5/32, and installed a new roll pin. I'm back to running nice and smooth, but I'm…
At work: Dockers Khakis, boots, a polo shirt, and a baseball cap. Not at work: jeans, a tshirt, and a jean jacket indoors. Outdoors: add aviator style sunglasses and a leather bomber jacket.
^^ Same here, but I think I'll stick around and see how things turn out. I'm here so little anyway that it probably wouldn't have much of an impact anyway.
That's a pretty big room!!! I could've done better if things were to scale, but I think I still got my general idea across. With a space as big as that one appears to be, I probably would have a piece of furniture in the middle of the room to break it up. Depending on the table, you could even tuck the IRC server under it.…
I saw this on the news. They even showed a "reconstruction" what the explosion would've done. It wouldn't killed anyone, and any 12 year old could've made something stronger.
^^ lol, no its a just couple of sticks next to a dead leaf. I checked the original. Nothing to really update other than bodywork time is getting closer.
That's why the windows were rolled down. So he could reach out the window and use the outside door handle. Here's what I got out of it: "So if you can roll down the window in a UK cop car, whats the point? The doors still will not open from the inside."
I smoke Marb red 100s. I probably should quit, but every time I try, something extra stressful happens: like an ice storm followed by a 5 day power failure with sub freezing temperatures, along with helping to load trailers at work by flashlight.
I read an article about this a day or 2 after the launch date. I think it was a review. Not exactly new, but If you weren't paying close attention to Apple, you probably wouldn't have found it that soon. Good information to spread around.
HB on ToTSE was fun, especally when fully baked. There used to be (or maybe its still there) a place in the middle of the woods near me that I think was set up for pretty much this purpose. If you found it, it was always good for some alcohol, or even other "consumables". We stashed "consumables" there, and even when they…
Lol, I missed this because I had no power. I think I was rambling the same way at my buddies house a couple months ago after about a half bottle of Jack.
