This is the end of the line my friends. The decision does not come easy, but we’ve decided to voluntarily shut down. We’ve been fighting for years for your right to communicate, but it’s time to move on. It’s been an experience of a lifetime, we wish you all the best!
Well, considering Nyaa Torrents shut down their trackers and PirateBay lost the fight, it doesn’t surprise me to see such trackers go offline. It still hurts but it’s something you have to expect. The thing is guys, the Internet we know or grow to love is changing, you really have to wise up now, does all of this will stop piracy, NO. I am sorry you can’t the more you block the faster we will fight back and honestly Pakistan PTA is already blocking websites left and right without any decent reason anyway. I used to support things here & there but now, I don’t give a crap.
I am just going to switch to other trackers and be hidden again. I should mention that it was thanks to torrents that people in different countries can watch some shows or can experience different cultures, we can’t buy stuff, we don’t have any purchasing power anyway, on top of that Paypal kicks Pakistan anyway, Moneybookers supports it but it’s a pain in the ass and Amazon just hates us.
Expect more closure. Time to work on German Hackers Internet Project.
I can’t believe btjunkie has shut down. I certainly wish all of the folks behind it luck in their next endeavors. Btjunkie was a great site. It will be missed.
Anyone looking for a fun new way to share stuff and search for stuff that can’t be taken down should check out Tixati. By stuff I mean things like magnet links, web links and such. Tixati can be found at http://www.tixati.com and features decentralizes sharing channels where you can chat, search and share with others. It’s a whole lot of fun.
Sharing will never die, it will just be done differently.
Don’t worry they’re still other trackers out there.
I was so surprised when I went to their site and saw the shutdown message. I will miss the site, I liked going there. Sharing stuff that can’t be taken down sounds interesting. I’ll be checking out this Tixati program.
