  • The Narcissistic Necessity

“I don’t care what you think unless it is about me.” ~ Kurt Cobain “
    Click To Tweet

Narcissism – erotic gratification derived from admiration of one’sown physical or mental attributes, being a normal condition at the infantile level of personality development.

Basically, Narcissism directly constitutes the worth that you value yourself as – better known as your ego – and how this affects how you treat those around you. While I will agree with the fact that Narcissism can be a bad thing, it can also be positive in its uses for creating self value/worth, confidence and above all a sense of pride. All 3 characteristics of a Dark Triad Personality can be crafted into a positive and uplifting mindset, but I’m going to focus on narcissism and how the trait can be used to craft an interesting and unique set of what I like to call Personality Traits – that is Alluring Character Identity, Wardrobe and Style, Culture Seasoning and Hobby/Passion development, although these are just a few of the multiple traits that define a person.

    _____________________________________________________________________________

    narcissist

First of all, while Narcissism is usually looked down upon as focusing on ego and a preoccupation on one’s self, the fact of the matter is such are necessary in order to establish the trait I brought up earlier. To create an Alluring Character Identity you must have an understanding of wardrobe and style, along with the concepts of an Abundance Mentality and  use such in your experiences in life both with game/women and with people. To have an ego is to have a sense of pride in one’s self, and to have such inhibits you to take care and caution in your appearance. The trick is learning to control your ego and using it in such a way that you focus on crafting your appearance in a way that is most desirable to both you and those around you, – through wardrobe, skin care, hair care, hygiene and proper nail care. Contrary to popular belief, getting a manicure/pedicure isn’t feminine, as long as you’re not doing it too frequently, dirty finger and toe nails aren’t healthy nor appealing, and all are key points in the basic of caring about yourself.

The trick to managing your ego is understanding the difference between harvesting the earlier stated Abundance Mentality and using it to your advantage – and being looked at as a genuine and arrogant asshole. To feed into your ego means acknowledging your assumed superiority to those around you without coming off as arrogant, however still taking great pride and care in one’s self, appearance and reputation. It’s important to note that you must tame and learn how to tame this to be able to use it effectively and positively, as no one likes an egomaniac – but someone that is confident in themselves, carries themselves with an air of self worth and swagger, and most importantly takes great pride and care in their appearance (both physically/fashionably, and in their articulation/prose) is often immediately thrown into a higher class, more sophisticated regard to those they meet than say, someone wearing street wear or more casual clothes.

Now let’s focus on the Characteristics to craft Personality Traits:

Alluring Character Identity: This may be a bit hard to understand, so I’ll try to simplify it – Hobby/Passion development ties into this, but to be an effective narcissist is to take great pride and care in one’s appearance and identity. They want to appear/be superior and have on up over the next man, they want to feed their ego with the compliments of others and the successes they themselves achieve – they have a thirst for self gratification and the pleasure of accomplishment that needs to be appeased.
Part of doing so is having a thirst for knowledge. “Knowledge is Power” rings true here, and the more you know, the more equipped and adapted you are for various situations that you will encounter in life, the better depth of response you will acquire in social interaction as a result of new found knowledge and possibly connections in certain areas.
If someone were to ask you questions like:

“What are your 3 favorite books? Authors? Pieces of Art? Places to travel? Landmarks? High Class Restaurants?”
Things that aren’t of the conventional “Movie, TV and Video Game big 3,” things that show you are connected to other parts of culture than the mainstream nowadays. Boring people usually don’t get anywhere in life, it’s just a true fact, interesting people are able to connect with others of the like because they are able to connect with each other on a variety of different topics, and aren’t regulated to meager things such as favorite movies or “Did you catch the Lakers game yesterday?”

Part of being a narcissist is once again, taking great pride and care in one’s self, and to craft an interesting appearance you must actually become interested in a variety of different topics and crafts as to add flavor and enable you to be able to relate to and engage in conversation with people on a multitude of subjects. Being seen as an Alpha in social interaction is part of a narcissistic mindset, as it the aforementioned desire for maximum self image.

Wardrobe/Style: The main thing that makes a man is his style. Your style and wardrobe is sort of like a sales pitch – as it usually determines the opinion people have of you before you even open your mouth. Now there may be other factors that affect it, like your confidence and how you carry yourself or previous word of mouth, but the fact remains that your style makes you, and it’s important to have a style that caters to your lifestyle and career. Now by all means I will not tell you to throw away all your street wear and go get slacks and blazers, nor the latter (although I do recommend it, I did for a month as a test and the changes that I observed were surprising and pleasing to say the least,) whatever it is, it important to have a defined sense of style and a basic understanding of fashion (fit, color schemes and the like) when selecting and equipping your wardrobe, and make sure it is clean. What I mean is make sure what you wear matches, make sure it’s not tacky (I.E too much floral, too many patterns, etc,) and make sure it all goes together, both with your outerwear off and on. The most important part of style is hygiene, which should be taken of the utmost importance. It literally disgusts me when I’m in a public restroom and see men leave without washing their hands, or smelling people with bad breath (like you don’t own a toothbrush and colgate?). Keeping yourself clean and smelling fresh, keeping your hair cut or styled however you like it consistently, keeping your teeth and nails clean are all essentials to making sure your hygiene is up to par, which as you know contributes to your overall health.

Culture Seasoning: The desire to leave one’s country and travel abroad is one that is becoming more and more prominent nowadays, and such is a desire that can benefit the narcissist greatly. Self Value is increased with the response to an increased depth of knowledge and culture seasoning, which can as a result make you seem more interesting, likable and appeasing to those around you and as a result will feed your ego. Self gratification is achieved with the realization of being able to go into many different situations with many different types of people of different cultures and input knowledge and come out having learned new things, and not just sitting there with a dumb look on your face confused at the language and references being spoken. I encourage you to learn new cultures, new languages, new information about other cultures as to season yourself to the rest of the world, and make yourself more interesting.

Hobby/Passion Development: ACI explained a lot of this, but one thing I want to stress – find yourself a hobby or side interest that you can use to generate income. For instance, my brother is too young to start working yet, so he customizes sneakers until he is able to get one, in which case he STILL has the side hobby to do on the side for extra income. Such is a formula for success, as side income 9/10 times is money you do not need to touch or do anything with, so it just builds over time and you get to do something you’re interested in. Ideas? Web design/Graphic design, writing, drawing or painting, cooking (writing cookbooks), making some types of jewelry, crafts or clothes – the possibilities are endless, and you may be saying you’re not interested in any of these, but how will you know unless you experiment with different things in your free time (BE PRODUCTIVE) and find out? Once you develop said interests, they can be used in your pursuit of money and also to create interesting new traits and points of your character and Identity.

Now the Dark Triad to me is an extremely interesting topic to me, both to write and read about, so there will be alot more upcoming posts on the subject, but for now I just wanted to touch on the ways to hone some traits of narcissism into positive traits of your character, and craft an interesting Identity.

  • Common Sense Part 2: Hygiene and Fit

This post wont be long because I don’t feel like it’ll take that long to explain the concept I’m trying to point out here.

    It wont.

In my many travels I’ve met various men who:

    A) Did not feel like they were confident in themselves, nor could they “game” women, and

    B) Felt they were destined to live a life of Doom and Despair and end up akin to the 40 Year old Virgin.

They weren’t, and I was able to help turn their mindsets around and teach them that tey can and will get more out of life. It wasn’t easy, but I did it.

But you want to know one of the main crippling factors about all of these men?

    Their hygiene.

I could tell some of them hadn’t showered that day, or brushed their teeth, or I could see food stuck in their teeth, or I could see they were months shy of getting a haircut…. you name it.

The fact of the matter is, not just with women but people in general, good hygiene is essential to interaction with other people. While most people judge you based off of the impression you first give, your hygiene is a big part of that. Do you smell? Does your breath stink? Are your fingernails 6cm long?

All of which can and will be noticed, and they will often change someone’s opinion of you.

Make sure your hygiene is important to you from the minute you wake up to when you go to sleep. Make sure when you wake up in the morning, your FIRST priority is getting in the shower and making sure you’re clean for the day – unless you do exercises and running when you first wake up, in which case I commend you. Make sure when you leave the bathroom your hands are washed, that lazy shit wont cut it.

Make sure you keep your hair cut and trimmed, make sure you at the very least clip your nails regularly, make sure the CLOTHES YOU WEAR FIT. This is one thing that I see people struggle with, but if it goes back to thinking like the rich, and they are more than likely getting their clothes tailored to their body. If you can’t do so, get the next best thing and MAKE SURE YOU TRY ON EVERYTHING BEFORE YOU BUY. Every shirt, every pair of pants, every watch, every pair of glasses, and make sure they all fit you nice and neatly. I can’t count how many times I’ve seen someone with a great outfit that doesn’t fit, and it ruins their whole appearance. Every piece of clothing you get should be tried on, examined and inspected to make sure it is a perfect fit for you, and you should not fret over things like taking the time out of your day to try them on – after all if you’re going shopping, you should have the time to make sure you’re properly outfitting yourself. Now we all get too big for our clothes sometimes, when this happens – sell them. Places like eBay, Poshmark, Mercari and others make it easy and possible for you to do so, and you should be making enough direct or side income to to supplement a couple new pairs of pants, especially if you’re getting it back.

So remember people, HYGIENE counts, don’t let being lazy and not washing your ha

  • Forge Ahead in the New Year – Unlock Your Bravado!

“Tomorrow, is the first blank page of a 365 page book. Write a good one.”
    ― Brad Paisley

No matter what anyone tells you, every new day you wake up is a chance to reject the past and embrace the future, and make said future better – whether it’s New Years or Spring Break, you can always improve yourself as a person. 2015 has been a year of ups and downs for me personally, but the culmination of all that has brought me here, to the creation of Live Like a Lord. The few articles and pieces of advice posted on this site are only a taste of what’s to come, the year of 2016 will be enrichening. I will challenge the very concepts you’ve grown accustomed to your whole life, I will help you expand your mindset and create the person you are in your dreams, I will help you develop a sense of ruthlessness cunning that will enable you to take on any situation in the world with a Bold mindset and a clear head, and come out a Champion.

I don’t set New Year’s Resolutions, but with the rise of this site/brand all coming around this time, I think it’s a good idea to set some goals I have in mind going into the New Years for this site and what’s to come of it:

    • Later on in the year I will be finishing and publishing Unlock Your Bravado: Bigger, Bolder, BETTER which is an e-book which will encompass all of the concepts of this site and detail, organize and distinguish them in a spectrum in accordance with ideologies of my mindset – aptly named Bravado after my brand. The book will have a cost, but it will be less than $10 (and it will likely be packaged with another FREE E-book).
    • I plan to write a series of e-books designed to explain and narrow down basic concepts of the Bravado mindset, and how to incorporate them into your life and practice and conscious recognition. The first planned book is named CHAMPION: Mindset of a ELITE which will use the basis of the mindset and lifestyle that winners like Kobe Bryant, Donald Trump, Michael Jordan, and others like them have, and how you can take the thought they have about life and use them to become an elite in your own path, and a champion in your field.
    • The promotion of this website is obvious, but I also want to increase the interaction here. I know this is a new site and some of the concepts here might be a bit taboo, but the most accurate way I have of telling people’s opinions and views of the site is through your interaction. If you’re reading this right now and haven’t read any other posts I encourage you to do so, and in the process of such take some time out to the view the sidebar and drop your email int he subscribe box. I didn’t know this until I started blogging honestly, but other than twitter (which my information for is in the sidebar as well) subscribing via email to a blog is their best and sometimes only way of knowing who the true users/fans are. The ones that subscribe and show interest in the site will be rewarded with things like bonus content, early access to articles and books and much more. So do me a favor and subscribe to the email list, and drop a follow on twitter too.
    • At some point in the year I will be bringing on one or two guest writers to write articles for the site for a “different” sort of view. I know for now the site only caters to men, but soon enough there will be a section popping up in the menu bar titled “Lesbi-honest” which will feature two of my very close friends (you can tell from the title how that section will be run) and don’t worry, it will be the same scope of things already talked about on LLAL, just from a different point of view. It will be refreshing and interesting to see their takes on some of the matter of the world, or even responses/rewriting of my own posts.
    • Sometime in the year I will be opening and hosting my Bravura Couture store, which will feature both high class fashion and street wear for those who realize that the most important thing in choosing clothes is quality, not brand. I created a prototype of a shoe I had a design of which you can find and purchase here.
    • Depending on the response this blog gets (and my penchant for being a natural public speaker) I may decide to end my pact of anonymity and start giving speeches and presentations, it’s honestly something I’ve always been able to see myself doing but up until now I didn’t understand how to start it or how to build an audience. Now with the help of LLAL, I help to change enough lives/minds or be a factor in the empowering and betterment of enough people to do be able to do that, and so much more.

I have big plans for 2016, big goals and big ideas on how to achieve them. But for that, I need help from you.

Are you ready to take this year by storm, and transform yourself from a normal, average boring guy? Don’t you want to be health conscious, fit, culturally seasoned, knowledgeable of world issues and above all interesting and appealing? You probably spend too much time on social media, watching tv/playing video games or WORKING 24/7 to actually change your life and set it up to enjoy it in the future, you’re too busy right now either relaxing or working too hard.

Get up, right now and change that.

Instead of leisurely activities that don’t challenge your mind or body at all, Read a book, go do some exercise, go to an art museum or somewhere you wouldn’t usually go, draw something, write something, either way just expand your mind at all available times and learn how to properly invest your time, and by the end of 2016 I want to hear your comments telling me the difference I’ve made.

So without further adieu, Chapter 1 of the New Book of Life begins.

  • Valuable Time: Don’t Waste it on Patience – Invest Wisely

“There are times to stay put, and what you want will come to you, and there are times to go out into the world and find such a thing for yourself.”
    – Lemony Snicket
The key is in not spending time, but in investing it.
    Stephen R. Covey

The previous are two quotes I feel like properly illustrate the concept I’m about to explain here, which is frankly – Investing your time unwisely for the sake of patience is not good nor a virtue, but rather a waste of time. As the saying goes time is money, which means that wasting one is wasting both as an interconnection of the two. While I don’t necessarily agree with this in the terms of all life situations, I find a better term to be “Time is worth the value of the money you’re losing or gaining during said time period”.

Sound complicated? Let me simplify it real quick:

You work at a regular 9-5 boring job, you get two 30 minute breaks or however those things work (I haven’t worked a regular 9-5 in so long I couldn’t tell you) and during said breaks, you waste your time.

    You don’t invest it wisely.

Instead of spending the hour doing something like learning a craft to increase your side income – while you slave away at Bob’s Burgers, hoping one day to get that coveted regional manager job and increase in paycheck – you spend it surfing twitter, reading the latest news about the kardashians or some bullshit like that.

You DON’T read a book like How Rich People Think to increase your knowledge of the world, money matter and overall general matters.

You DON’T browse a blog like Wall St. Playboys to establish a baseline of where you want to be in life one day.

In fact you don’t do anything that could contribute to any cash flow sources, expanding your knowledge, improving your mindset and health or wellness.

Instead your break is spent eating a couple $2 burgers and stalking the newest apple of your eye’s twitter or facebook profile. The thought of empowering yourself, increasing your cash flow or income potential, or even learning and researching how to do such doesn’t even cross your mind. Instead you think you have life figured out, you think your $7.25 an hour job that pays you a meager paycheck every other week (which of course, is one of the primary reasons you need to do something like have a side cash flow/source of income) will be able to carry you through the month, you don’t want more, you don’t want better, you don’t want progress.

And that’s not good at all.

But that’s ok, that’s what I’m here for.

For the rest of the post I’m going to go into entrepreneur mode and talk in terms of business, but if you understand the principles behind what I mean you will be able to relate these to your own life and maximize your time and your money being made.

Alright, say you have a job to be done, such as securing a venue for a meeting or keynote presentation – you can spend the hour or couple of hours it might take to find it, set it up, talk to your firm or company or finalize everything….

    or

You can hire the job out to someone under you.

Now I want you to understand this concept completely, because it may cause some confusion.

When I say this, I don’t mean hit the craigslist gigs offered section and find someone to do the job at the lowest possible dollar amount, because it will then be done in a very shitty way. This even relates to a Bill Gates quote that I wanted to bring up – “I will always choose a lazy man to do a hard job because a lazy man will find an easy way to do it,” – which I agree with, but only to a certain extent. This quote should be extended to the terms of the most “qualifiable” man honestly, as anyone for a job will not cut it.

But let’s think about the above stated example in terms of value of time spent .

You can spend that time finding a venue, costing yourself time that could have been spent elsewhere developing cash flow or life improvement, or you can invest your time wisely and maximize the value of your time (Value of Time Spent = $$$ Spent|Gained / Time Spent|Gained).

Basically, if you make more money spending the time you could be using on a task getting another qualified individual to do to create other sources of income, you have invested your time wisely. If the adverse happens, you have made an average, although most likely not wise decision.

So if you spend an additional $100 of business revenue hiring out the venue search, and instead spend those couple hours speaking to/closing out a key client for your business or firm, worth thousands of dollars, you have effectively maximized the profit potential of your time.

Apply this to the basic concepts of life and you will find success.

The little things or jobs that you find it would be in the best interest of your time to be done by someone else, make it happen. There is an Abundance of wealth out there, and an abundance of both sources of direct cash flow and sources of indirect cash flow, and having both is a key to investing your time wisely. You should have a direct source of income (A Job, Business or Career) and an indirect, side source of income (selling an e-book, learning web design and coding, drawing/painting or graphic design and selling artwork online, flipping items, etc) that ideally can make you money while you sleep. That is the goal. Owning a business can do such, but owning a business with a legitimate source of income on the side (that you DON’T spend, mind you, because you’re already familiar with basic budgeting techniques and how to keep money in your pocket as to not have to dip into your savings) will keep you from finding yourself in financial straights. With a side source of income, you can use your own money for the purpose it’s supposed to be used for (creating income, as it’s well known you must spend money to make money) and you still have a safety net of money in case of emergencies.

Plus this concept can also be applied to material possessions people feel the need to have:

Spending more time working/out enjoying life than you do at home? Renting will suit you better anyway.

On the contrast, don’t go out that much or find yourself to often be with other friends with cars? You might not need it, and while the previous comment is not saying “Depend on or use anybody,” it’s more so a staple of the point of the post, a better investment of time vs money. The money you could have spent buying and maintaining said car, you can slide your friend a couple bucks for gas whenever you go out and use said money to invest and make more out of it.

Eventually you’ll thank me when you remember this advice at the end of the year and you have 50K saved that you otherwise would’ve spent buying, maintaining and wasting on a car.

Which one will help you more at the end of the year, the 50K saved from wisely investing your time (plus the additional 5-10K [possibly more] that you were able to make and save with the money that you spent and properly invested

I’m gonna leave this post off with a few key points to wrap it all up.

    • Once again, “Time is worth the value of the money you’re losing or gaining during said time period,” meaning if you can get someone to do your job for less than it costs for you to do it, do so. You can spend said time increasing your cash flow. Do not confuse having patience with bad investment of your time.
    • If the value of something immediately depreciates after acquisition (I.E. cars) options should be looked into (I.E. leasing) as to not tie a large portion of your current cash flow into said option.
    • You should always be looking to increase your cash flow, if not directly than indirectly. Establish new side sources of cash flow, expand on those already present, figure out how to expand the audience of your primary business. “If it’s not making you money, getting you pussy or improving your health why do it?”
    • Another interesting way to quote this is with a quote uttered by Lil Wayne, “I don’t write shit ’cause I don’t got time, ’cause my seconds, minutes, hours go to the almighty dollar”. Now rap fans might say it’s unethical for him to suggest that he uses ghostwriters because he has more important ways to spend his time (and if you know Wayne you know he doesn’t even write down lyrics for such to be the case)  but the principle behind such is the point of this post. If you can get someone else to do something, spend said time increasing other sources of income, take the credit for it and repeat the cycle, why not keep doing it if it increasing your money and time investment?
    • After you read this post/blog, what are you going to do? Are you going to ignore this and go backt o watching your favorite tv show, surfing twitter or all around lolli-gagging that isn’t making you any money or helping you get any pussy? or Are you going to actively go put these points and strategies in motion, go out there and make 10x more money, expand your/start a business and never have to worry about where your next dollar is coming from, because you already have 100 saved to supplement it.

  • Negative Personality Dissolution – Defeating Your Psyche

~Negative emotions like loneliness, envy, and guilt have an important role to play in a happy life; they’re big, flashing signs that something needs to change~
    Gretchen Rubin

This post is going to deal with the concept of having a Negative Personality and how to defeat said part of your psyche and transform yourself into an optimist, a person who believes they are on this earth for a purpose and they can improve both their own life and the lives of those around them.

First of all, having a Negative Personality can come from a variety of factors – from a lack of nurture or acknowledgement as a child, to a traumatic experience in one’s life, to having life a life of hardships. Whatever the case, the point that I want to stress today is that whatever it is that is stressing you out daily, you CAN change with the proper time, care and devotion to change – however you must understand that it is NOT something that can or will happen overnight, or maybe not even over the course of a week or month. It will take time to institute change in your life, which was a concept I wasn’t too familiar or OK with when I first started. It stunted my improvement at first, and left me in a position how I am now where I sometimes think “If I was now how I was then…”

But this is OK. Want to know why?

It FUELS me. Every time I think about it, every time I take into consideration the person that I should be, I use that as motivation to get up at that moment and go better myself at that moment.

Stop taking everyone else’s feelings into consideration before yours. Why?

They most likely aren’t doing anything to help you or the quality of their life. Now granted some do, but a majority of the time people spend chatting small talk with friends, watching their favorite celebrity on tv or doing other such things can be used for improvement in life.

Want to know why rich people rarely keep in constant contact with each other?

They’re too busy MAXIMIZING their PRODUCTIVITY, they’re optimizing their time and using it for the best output and result possible.

You can too, and I want you to understand this and wake up everyday, go to sleep every night and stress to yourself everyday that you CAN and WILL improve the quality of your life and positivity of your mindset, it will just take some time.

You think you’re broke/poor? – While I do stress the idea of making money and budgeting in your teens, this isn’t something that was taught to most people in school or even as a basic skill by a lot of parents. As a result, there are a good amount of adults that are in the condition of either living with their parents or in an impoverished condition/location – which I wont say is fine necessarily, but you CAN change it. What you must understand is this will take TIME. It is not an overnight process especially depending on what type of job you have (or lack thereof) but you CAN affect change in your life, you must however do this by spending less time in leisure and more time working for improvement. The more you do this, the more routine it becomes – until it becomes a part of your lifestyle. There is an interesting quote I’ve found that explains the subject of said “work now, play later” attitudes in simple terms – “If you don’t suffer the pain of hard work now, you will suffer the pain of regret later.”

Such is true in the struggles of life, but is not taught to people but school or parents alike. It’s good that you’re reading this now, because that means 2 things:

    1. You have said Negative Personality and want to get rid of it and take the steps to effectively eliminating said parts of your psyche and crafting a Positive, Optimistic and Cunning mindset.
    2. You’re reading this right now, which means you have internet access and access to the basic tools you need for improvement.

While I wont advise taking heed to everything you find on the internet, there is somewhere you can find a solution to all of your problems, from getting a job, to game with women, to fitness and diet,  fashion and style and even interesting personality trait development. Research and reading are important in life and are two important factors in learning, and the more you learn, the more seasoned and experienced you become and the more improvement in your life you can achieve.

You think you’re ugly? – There may be various reasons for that, but all of them can be defeated and overcome. Regularly get your hair cut, take great care in your hygiene (I don’t mean go all feminine but great detail should be taken to teeth, skin, face and hair and nails on mall men), work on your diet and physical appearance and take great care in your fashion and style and watch the reactions of those around you change.

If you usually wear street wear or more casual fits, spend a month regularly dressing in things like blazers and chinos with some nice shoes ( and I don’t mean dress shoes) and maybe a nice watch, see how things change. See how people are more likely and willing to do things for you or have conversation for you, note how much happier or positive people seem talking to you, note how many compliments you get and how easier it is to talk to people.

Wouldn’t you like it to be like this all the time?

    It CAN be.

You CAN change your appearance and look better, you CAN use such to destroy the negative psyche you have and unlock the long dormant, elite side of your psyche that you can use to take on the world. The side with swagger. The side with Bravado. The side of Pride and a High Sense of Value in themselves.

All it takes is practice, experience, and above all the recognition that it WILL NOT happen overnight. It is a PROCESS, that you most likely wont be able to even give me results as a response for if you wanted to until a bit into the new year.

    But that’s fine.

    Take that time.

Spend it improving yourself, spend it destroying those negative thoughts and concepts in your head, the criticisms from yourself/others that may stem from when you were a child.

    All that is over.

It’s your life now. Take control of it, stop whining and use the time out of the day you aren’t using being productive in making money to….. be productive in changing your life.

    Sounds great doesn’t it?

You think you’re too fat/out of shape? – You CAN change that, but first you have to get through your head that it is a PROCESS. This is something I honestly struggled with at first, when i was younger I used to be fat and upon spending a couple weeks in the gym (with moderate-intensity exercise mind you) and not seeing any results, I never went back to that gym again, convinced I was just destined to be forever fat. Throughout the years an increased metabolism, growth spurts, proper eating (get this part into your head too, you do NOT have to diet to eat properly, you can eat 3 square regular meals a day and still eat/be healthy) and above all EXERCISE all have helped me to change my appearance into a picture of my liking.

I wont claim to be built or anything like that but I’m working on it, and it’s all because I realized one thing – it is all a PROCESS that ties in with each other. You can exercise in the gym for 5 hours a day, but if you’re not properly eating (or not eating at all, which is another anti-diet nod) how do you expect to get healthy and fit? If you’re eating salads and grilled chicken all day but sitting on your ass watching tv instead of going to the gym, going for a jog or even doing something like doing some push ups/sit ups in between commercials and shows, how do you expect to look better?

It is a PROCESS, and you must understand and embroil this into your core before you are to achieve results. In the span of things, working out and being healthy for 2-3 months before you see real results may sound like a tedious taskbut wouldn’t you rather spend that time becoming healthier, more fit, more appealing and attractive and more than likely improving the quality of your life and positive mindset? Doesn’t that sound like a better outcome of a 2-3 month time span than still being unfit, still complaining, still whining and still not doing anything about the quality of your life and yourself? Fitness is a topic I’ve touched on before with some tips for overcoming the basic qualms of why you can’t get fit, and there are honestly no excuses for improving your health and love life through exercise and proper eating.

A plus to this is – the time spent doing the routine of proper eating, exercise improving the personal qualities of your life will turn from a routine into a habit, and from a habit into a lifestyle. Crafting and honing a mindset is in some ways the same as crafting and honing a fine sword. Fine care must be taken in the personal details and aspects of development – but in the same way a blacksmith must beat the iron of a sword to create it’s shape, you must beat into your mindset the inspiration and will to change for such to occur. Everyone has conversations with themselves in their heads, it is during said conversations that you must attack the negativity in your psyche stunting your growth.

“No you can’t”“Yes I can, and I’m going to go do it right now.”
“They’re going to win over you.”“They wont, I’m going to work harder, I’m going to work better, and above all I’m going to work smarter.”
“She’s out of your league.”“There is no such thing. I have taken such control of my appearance that I am of the appearance of sophistication and class. I am not egotistically superior to her, but I will be held in a high regard from her as soon as I speak.”

Such are examples to show you what I meant. You must emboss into your mindset that you are great, that all negativity and insecurities that were part of your psyche must be dispelled, but above all understand that it will NOT happen overnight. It, like everything else in life, is a process that must be undertaken with the utmost care and detail as to craft an alluring character identity and high sense of self value, self worth and confidence.

Such is the way of BRAVADO.
