CHAOS Erupts as BLM Group Storms Iowa State Capitol Building, Mainstream Media Silent

On Thursday, BLM activists took over the Iowa State Capitol Building. If you didn’t hear about it in the national media that is because it wasn’t widely reported.

The Des Moines Black Liberation Movement Collective was at the forefront of the protest. The protesters were in the Capitol building demonstrating against “racist and dangerous” bills, We Are Iowa reported.

The demonstration erupted into chaos when officers arrested an 18-year-old protester for allegedly assaulting a police officer. (Warning: There is a lot of profanity in this video as protesters harrassed the police officers.)

The Des Moines Register reported that the proposed legislation would increase immunity for police and increase penalties for some protest-related offenses. Both publications confirmed the event happened on April 8th.

In addition, the group demanded “justice” for Philandro Castile, a 32-year-old man who was shot and killed in Minnesota in 2016. Despite dashcam video, the arresting officer Jeronimo Yanez was acquitted of manslaughter in 2017. The activists also called for justice for other BLM icons, such as Eric Garner and George Floyd, shouting, “I can’t breathe!”

Iowa, a midwestern state that is over 90% white, has a recent history with Black Lives Matters protests. In July 2020, 17 Black Lives Matters protesters were arrested for a fight with police outside the Iowa State Capitol.

“Police say an altercation between Black Lives Matter demonstrators and officers at the state Capitol on Wednesday ignited when a protester in a crowd that tried to pull two people from police custody allegedly jumped on an officer’s back, put him in a chokehold and managed to disarm him,” the Des Moines Register reported.

The incident followed upon a June 20 protest at Hy-Vee where a police car and other property was damaged.

The mainstream media has insisted for months that any protesters at the U.S. capitol on January 6th were “insurrectionists.” However, that narrative only appears to apply to Trump supporters, and never to left-wing activists like Black Lives Matter or Antifa.

The latest “insurrection” doesn’t bode well for a nation that has been racked by Black Lives Matter protests since the death of George Floyd in May 2020.

The Antifa & BLM fueled riots in 140 cities following Floyd’s death led to at least $2 billion in damages, at least nine people killed, and hundreds of arrests in 21 states.

There was even a BLM-led riot at the nation’s capitol that went on for weeks in June 2020. Dozens of police officers and secret service agents were injured, as reported by CNN:

The officers and agents were injured when protesters threw “projectiles such as bricks, rocks, bottles, fireworks and other items,” according to the statement. “Personnel were also directly physically assaulted as they were kicked, punched and exposed to bodily fluids.”

In terms of scale and cost, the BLM riots were objectively worse than the Capitol riots. While over 600 suspects were charged in BLM riots, most of them summarily let go, a little over 200 suspects were charged in the Capitol riots.

The storming of the Iowa State Capitol Building by BLM activists is a foreboding development amid a Derek Chauvin trial that is not going the prosecution’s way. Chauvin is charged with second-degree murder, third-degree murder and second-degree manslaughter — and there are now reasons to believe that the officer could be acquitted.

Before the defense has even had a chance to call its own witnesses, the prosecution’s expert witness on use of force was so useful in causing doubt that Chauvin used a forbidden police restraint on Floyd that he will be called back by the defense.

Furthermore, there is the matter of the medical examiner’s report, which showed no evidence of physical trauma causing Floyd’s death.

Such a report leads to the reasonable inference that drugs killed George Floyd and not Chauvin’s restraint. It was reported in June 2020 that George Floyd’s medical examiner report revealed numerous health problems that pre-existed before his incident with police.

“A full autopsy report on George Floyd, the man who died after being restrained by Minneapolis police last month, reveals that he was positive for SARS-CoV-2, the virus that causes COVID-19,” NPR reported. “The 20-page report also indicates that Floyd had fentanyl and methamphetamine in his system at the time of his death, although the drugs are not listed as the cause.”

If Derek Chauvin is acquitted, and the surprising weakness of the prosecution’s case suggests that is a strong possibility, then what America saw from the 2020 riots will be child’s play.
