Another week, another blog, and this time I’m sitting here writing this up while listening to “Deadmau5 – Random Album Title”. Progressive House is such a chilled genre of music, it’s great to write things to. This week on Totse has been pretty good, seeing some brilliant content being written including a Guide to Lucid Dreaming, written by Dark Kaiser Redux from the Totse forum. Hats off to that guy, he literally came out of nowhere with that guide and I really enjoyed reading it, as it covered a lot about lucid dreaming in great depth. In other news, TheDarkRodent has started producing some fantastic audio tracks for our guides here on Totse. Armed with nothing but a voice (and a face) for radio, TDR really puts the icing on the cake with his brilliant voiceovers. For a good example of his work, check out this guide on Self Igniting Molotov Cocktails and listen to the embedded Soundcloud media at the bottom of the page. This is something which I think will greatly add to the functionality of Totse overall, providing greater accessibility to those who maybe find it hard to read those long winded articles which are sometimes posted. We’ve all been there.
Looking at the activity on the forum this week, and we’ve been seeing a dramatic increase in the number of threads relating to a particular decrepid old man. This has caused some lulz around the board and we’ve seen an increase in members writing parody songs about him. We even have someone recording songs on their computer and posting them to the forum, as seen in this thread. Aside from the lulz, we’ve gotten some very interesting discussion being produced in the thread regarding the Totse of Today. Despite a couple of members derailing it somewhat, it seems to be on track once again and spouting some very interesting replies regarding the state of this particular website and where it stands on the grand scale of things. Personally, I think we’re doing a pretty damn good job so far.
I’m not sure what else I should be writing here, but I think I need some kind of structure to this blog in the future so I’ll go ahead and lay it out nice and clearly so I remember for next time. I’ll write about the following categories each week;
- CMS – Recent articles, updates and issues
- Forum – Recent threads, discussions, etc
- Anything else I feel like writing about
