Jenna Ellis, a former attorney for the 2020 campaign of then-President Donald Trump, has become the latest leading conservative to call on Republicans to push for impeaching President Joe Biden for “multiple” constitutional cases of abuse.

In comments to Newsmax TV on Saturday, Ellis pointed to Biden’s border policies, which including allowing tens of thousands of migrants into the country illegally, including many testing positive for COVID, while ignoring a Supreme Court order barring eviction moratoriums as reasons why Republicans should begin talking about impeachment even though they are currently in the minority in Congress.
Biden’s immigration policies are particularly egregious, Ellis said.
“This is something that is so disgusting and disturbing of the Biden administration that they are refusing to protect the American citizens first by closing the border,” she told the network.
“And you know, listen, this is something where we’ve seen that any of these surges of COVID-19 can be directly attributed to these migrants that are coming in illegally crossing the border, and now Joe Biden’s solution is to what? Just offer them a vaccination?” she added.
“I mean, that’s something that clearly, I think this is a violation of his oath of office,” she posited.
Ellis then went on to note that last week the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention re-implemented a moratorium on evictions after the first one expired July 31, even though the Supreme Court ruled such bans were unconstitutional. Biden later justified the action by claiming “key legal scholars” thought the action could be legal though he admitted that most other experts agreed with the high court.
“There are multiple things that Joe Biden is doing here that do, in my view, constitute impeachable offenses, and I think that if the Republicans in Congress want to take seriously,” Ellis continued.
She argued that Republicans have “standing” to impeach “in terms of the congressional mandate to review the chief executive and to not let him get away with clearly unconstitutional behavior, like the CDC moratorium that he knows is in bad faith.”
Biden “knows that this flies in the face of a prior Supreme Court decision. He said that he doesn’t know if it’s legal, but he’s moving forward anyway,” she added.
“These are things that directly violate his oath of office,” the attorney continued.
“I do think [they] fall within the definition of impeachment within the U.S. Constitution, and it would be my hope, even though the GOP, of course, is in the minority right now, that they would at least start talking about this, because that’s the only way to hold a runaway authoritarian tyrant to accountability,” she noted further.
Conservative talker Mark Levin, a former Justice Department official under President Ronald Reagan, was the first to suggest Republicans could and should impeach Biden, and for the same reasons that Ellis mentioned.
“He’s doing more to weaken this country than the Communist Chinese could ever pray to do,” Levin told fellow Fox News host Sean Hannity on Thursday.
“Republicans, have you heard of the word impeachment?” Levin, who is also an attorney, continued.
“I know you’re not in the majority but you need to start explaining to the American people. This man just violated a Supreme Court decision, this man has the border wide open in violation of our immigration laws,” he said.
Radio talker and Fox News host Dan Bongino agreed on Saturday.
“The Democrats think impeachment is a strictly political tool to get rid of your political enemies, even when they don’t have a reason? You know, fake impeachment one, fake impeachment two over Trump. Well, now we have a real reason,” he said, imploring Republicans: “No more BS.”
