ISIS Terror Attacks Now Reported to Be Threat to Americans Stranded in Afghanistan, According to New Intel Reports

ISIS affiliates are reportedly mobilizing to conduct terror attacks on Americans that are stranded in Afghanistan and seeking evacuation.

The terrorist group was all-but-vanquished in the Middle East under the previous administration, but is reportedly seeking to take advantage of the chaos in Afghanistan to strike back against the United States. Fox News Foreign Correspondent Trey Yingst reported on the harrowing situation on Saturday.

“Scenes of chaos outside of the airport happening once again today,” Yingst reported. “A major concern not only to American forces, but a variety of other countries who have troops on the ground trying to evacuate as many Afghan civilians as possible.”

Psss… Important. You may kiss your retirement savings goodbye…

“We do know the U.S. State Department putting out an alert for American citizens in Afghanistan, saying today because of potential security threats outside of the gates, they were actually asking Americans to stay put until they received further information,” Yingst continued. “Now we do know according to reports there are concerns that ISIS affiliates inside Afghanistan could target Americans. That could be the potential security threat referenced in this memo that went out from the U.S. State Department,” Yingst added.

“But the images of chaos, once again playing out as Taliban fighters are pushing back people who are trying to enter,” Yingst continued. “Once again the words of officials in Washington are not matching what is going on in Kabul.”

CBS News reported that an Afghan interpreter has informed the network that the Taliban told people outside the airport that ISIS was planning an attack.

Meanwhile, John Kirby, a Department of Defense spokesman, was asked about the Afghanistan threat matrix on Friday, but declined to elaborate.

“We’re not going to get into specific details about the threat environment,” Kirby said.

The U.S. State Department admitted that there are Americans in harm’s way in Afghanistan in a security alert issued to the U.S. Embassy in Kabul on Saturday.

“Because of potential security threats outside the gates at the Kabul airport, we are advising U.S. citizens to avoid traveling to the airport and to avoid airport gates at this time unless you receive individual instructions from a U.S. government representative to do so,” the State Department warned.

The Kabul International Airport has been a frantic scene for Americans citizens and Afghans seeking to flee the murderous wrath of the Taliban.

“For a bunch of American citizens and Afghans seeking to flee the Taliban Friday morning, a harrowing journey to Hamid Karzai International Airport and possible freedom began with a morning text message update alerting the travelers of Taliban concentrations and the best route to the airport, according to a group working on getting people out of Kabul,’ the Military Times reported.

“The airport, now the scene of America’s last stand in Afghanistan, closed once again overnight,” the Times continued. “Although the airfield is open again, the nearly eight-hour disruption in operations had a ripple effect, leading to chaos, punctuated by gunfire and tear gas, at gates to the airfield, according to Joe Saboe, a former Army infantry officer, whose group Team America has been working around the clock to assist evacuees.”

The abrupt U.S. military withdrawal after nearly two decades of war has led to a power vacuum, which is being filled by once-suppressed terror groups. In a surprising fact-check from CNN, the left-leaning news outlet dinged Biden for misrepresenting the terrorist threat in Afghanistan.

“Defending the withdrawal of US troops from Afghanistan, President Joe Biden said at the White House on Friday: ‘Look, let’s put this thing in perspective. What interest do we have in Afghanistan at this point, with al Qaeda gone? We went to Afghanistan for the express purpose of getting rid of al Qaeda in Afghanistan as well as — as well as — getting Osama bin Laden. And we did’,” CNN quoted Biden.

“Biden’s claim that al Qaeda is ‘gone’ from Afghanistan is false — as his own administration acknowledged soon afterward,” the ‘fact check’ noted. “Following Biden’s remarks, Pentagon press secretary John Kirby told reporters, ‘We know that al Qaeda is a presence, as well as ISIS, in Afghanistan, and we’ve talked about that for quite some time’.”

The U.S. now has a Commander-in-Chief who is justifying the sudden withdrawal of U.S. military troops, leaving American civilians in harm’s way, by referring to the absence of terrorist groups that are actually still in Afghanistan. God help us all.
