I discovered this explosive by accident:
I wanted to make a cannon using a mixture of KClO3 and sugar but the cannon exploded -- throwing the back end 50 meters away.
The mixture was (by volume) 45% sugar and 55% KClO3.
The second day I made a pipe bomb containing this mixture:
I flatened one end of the pipe and folded that end once, then I made a hole in that part of the pipe to put the fuse in it ; after I put the fuse in the pipe, I rammed the mixture in the pipe and when the pipe was about 3/4 full, I inserted some tissue paper wich I pressed in very well; after this, VERY carefully I flattened the open end of the pipe and folded that end too as I did with the first end of the pipe.
The fuse was made like this:
In a 2cm wide, 15cm long piece of paper,I put a mixture of laquer and the sougar/chlorate mixture lenghtwise , then I folded the piece of paper and then I twisted the paper and I let it dry in the sun for 2 hrs.
When the fuse was ready, I put it in the pipe and I continued with the filling of the bomb.
To detonate the bomb, I lighted the fuse and waited on the other side of the road (the bomb was buried in the ground) to see what was going to happen.
While waiting, after the time calculated by me for the fuse to burn through, I thought that the bomb will not explode anymore so I went towards it but... KABOOM!!! The bomb exploded throwing dust about ten(10) meters in the air (that's about 30 ft.)
