This article is for information purposes only and is intended to demonstrate the weakness of combination bike locks. Any kind of trouble you get into with this is not my responsibility so just do us all a favor and don't steal bikes and if you do, don't blame for getting in crap I told you not too.

So you forgot your combo or just wanna pull a prank on your friend and switch the lock on his bike?

Lets get started... The first thing you should do is go out to the store and buy a combo bike lock... or just "find" one.

Assuming you have a lock we will move on to the next step. Open the lock and turn the numbers till they are all different and you are not able to insert the other end of the lock. Now with the numbers different from the combination and the lock open look at the side of the lock where the other part of the chain would go. Start to turn the last number and don't stop till you get a little box. You will notice that when you see the little box the last number will be correct that is the key of this trick. Now do the same for the rest of the numbers and if you see through the lock all the numbers are correctly lined up.

Ok now that you know the basics lets begin step 2.

Make sure the lock is locked and shuffle the combo.

If this is a 5 digit lock than take the first 4 digits and push them to the left leaving a little space to see the side of the last number. now start turning the last number till you see a box once you see the box this is the number do this for the rest and vwaa la you have the combo.

This takes practise so don't give up the first time and read this over a few times.
