One good way to find anything on anybody

INFORMATION SYSTEMS
If you want information on a person, business, etc. there are many ways to
go about getting what you want. From personal experience I have found
that there are several companies and P.I. firms specializing in this type
of information. One that I have used on several occasions with good sucess
is Sherlock InfoSystems. They don't advertise and you will only hear
about them by word of mouth. They prices are Ok and every time I needed
anything they told me upfront how quick they could get me the information I
wanted (Usually 24 to 48 hours). You can request a list of their services by

From the packet I received from them (01/94) at that time they were offering 51
different searches. They said they add about 2 new searches a month and will
deal with the public with the exception of Credit Reports. They don't phuck with
Credit because of the hassle. A listing of some of what they offer follows:
1.Professional License Verification - verifies all types of professional licenses
for trades that are required to be licensed (Plumbers, lawyers,architects,etc.)
2.Education Verification - verifies degrees received from most colleges
3.Social Locator - helps you locate that weasel that skipped with your copies
of TAP or anyone else that ripped you off
4.National Address Locator - Using only name and Last known address it
helps you locate someone who doesn't want to be found
5.National Telephone Identifier - Gives you the name and address of the
owner of a telephone number (They said this won't usually work on
Unlisted numbers)
6.County Criminal Conviction History - Available in some states as a
statewide search, in others it must be searched by county. Gives felony
criminal convictions for a person but often identifies arrests w/o
convictions if they are indexed by the court, even misdemeanors.
7.Real Property Records - Can search the larger counties nationwide
for property owned by a person, or can search for an owner by address
of property. Available in a few states as a statewide search.
8.State UCC Filings - Can be searched by state or county for Uniform
Commercial Code filings. May identify collateral and details of your
targets financing agreements.
9.Federal Records - Can search a specified federal districts records for
criminal and civil records pertaining to a person.
10.Consumer Public Filings - Avaialble in most states as a statewide
search this will identify public filings such as bankruptcies, tax liens,
judgements against a person.
11.Military Locator Search - Develops an address for all active duty
military personnel. Can also develop an address for retired military
personnel who receive benefits.
12.Driving Records - Available in all states.
13.National Address Identifier - will develop the owner or occupant of
a given address and may also give the phone number.
14.Surname Scan - Will allow you to scan for a surname (Forget Smith
& Jones, etc.) and will give you the top 100 closest matches for a State
or closest 20 for a specific Zip, City or State.
15.National Change of Address Database - Activates several large
databases including the Postal Services change of address databse to
develop the latest change in a subjects address.
16.Decedent Trace - Activates the Social Security Death Master file
with over 40,000,000 records. Updated quarterly it contains the majority
of deaths in the US since the 1930's. (Maybe that's why Uncle Joe never
showed back up?)
17.Neighborhood Scan - (Scary!), will give you the 5 nearest neighbors
for a given address. May also give you the neighbors phone numbers.
18.Civil Records Check - Can check a person or business in any county
to see if they have been sued or have sued someone.
19.Motor Vehicle Registration by VIN# - Available in all states and some
foreign countries.
20.Motor Vehicle Registration by Plate# - Available in all states and some
foreign countries.
21.Motor Vehicle Search by Name - Available in many states, searching
by owners name. Will give a complete listing of vehicles registered to your
target.
22.Pleasure Craft Registration - Can be checked by hull #, registration #,
or name.
23.Aircraft Registration - By tail number, VIN#, or by owners name.
24.National Business Name Index - Using Company name and area to
search (Zip,State,City, or Nationwide) you get back data on all possible
matches within the specified search area.
25.US Business Background Report - You get back just about everything
there is to know on any given co. (CEO,officers,stock,SIC,financials,etc.)
26.Business Public Filings - Finds tax liens, judgements, & bankruptcies
filed by businesses.
27.International Business Background Report - Don't really know, it says
"Speak to a Research Analyst before requesting this report".
28.Business Telephone # Index - Get the comapny address,name,etc.
from a phone#.
29.Worldwide Business Scan - This is the one exception to their credit
rule, they will provide foreign credit reports from any foreign country in
the world.
30.Business UCC Reports - may give data about a companies collateral
,financing,lendor,etc.
31.Corporate Records - Verifies incorporation in the state searched.
Gives Officers,date incorporated,registered agents, status of corp.,etc,
32.SEC Filings/Company Profile - Derived from documents filed with the
SEC it gives a ton of shit I don't ??? like, DUNS,CUSIP,Forbes,SIC,Stock
,Employees,and it goes on and on....
33.Annual Financials - SEC - Again courtesy of the SEC, it gives financial
data consisting of a 5 year summary of sales,net income,earnings per
share,balance sheets,cash flow,etc....
34.Quarterly Financial-SEC - Ditto...but more detailed than above, at least
it look like it.
35.Full SEC Summary - Ditto... but this is a monster, I can't even begin to
list all the shit this gives back, need a banker to understand it....
36.Canadian Corporation Profile - Provides detailed data on over 6,000
public & private Canadian Corporations.
37. Business Directory Search - All businesses with 1 or more employees
in the US are listed. Gives quite a bit of crap back on the co. including
address,etc., SIC, business activity, # of employees,etc.etc.etc.
38.Electronic Media Scan - Using a company name or a few keywords you
can retrieve citations showing articles published about the particular co. or
subject.
39.International Business Credit Report - Yeah, as I said if anybody wanted
it they would give out a international business credit report (But not ole USA).
40. Nationwide Public Filing Scan - searches entire nation for any public
filings (bankruptcies,tax liens,judgements) against a company.
41.Business Yellow Pages Scan - Gives you access to over 10 million US
and Canadian business listings. Can be searched several different ways.
Anyway these people are pretty laid back. You might want to give them a try.
I did and saved some bucks insteading of hiring some overpriced jerk to find
my wifes ex old man that owed her about 10K in back child support. I'm not
sure but I think this company may be connected with the phreaking/hacking
clearinghouse "Alternative Inphormation" (It also shows a Carthage,Tx
address). They were in Lee Lapins book "How to get anything on anybody II".
I looked at a map and it looks like Carthage is the size of Hooterville. I asked
the lady on the phone if the two were connected and she just laughed.
