ATM's - A QUICK 'N' EASY WAY TO EARN A FEW QUID!

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

INTRODUCTION
------------

This phile came about due to the distinct lack of any up-to-date UK texts on anyBBS's that I have fo If you have noticed this too, either get writing, or
uploading and share the knowledge.

Hopefully this text will give you a bit of an education in how to get a few
quid out of an ATM (Cash Machine). The techniques described are fairly vague,
but should be good enough to get you some money.

The only thing about using this method is that there is no guarantee of how muchyou will get each tiand that you cannot keep doing it in the same place or
you'll be in the shit! ( But I guess that's just common sense anyway. )

And remember that this text has written for informational purposes only, and I
cannot accept any responsibility for anything which happens due to this text
being used, or misused.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
THEORY
------

The method that I am going to explain will only work on the type of ATM which
issues money into a closed tray which then opens to let you get your cash. The
ATMs which pass you your money through rollers or something else are immune to
this little scam. I have found that the machines to look for are building
society ones like Halifax or Nationwide, but I think some banks have the right
sort.

Once a withdrawl has been requested and authorised on one of these machines, themoney is moved into withdrawl tray, and a check is made to see if the tray
is empty. This is so that if someone forgets to take their money the next
customer doesn't get a surprise bonus of the previous guy's cash. This check isdone very late in thocess, so if the tray is not empty, the cash has alreadybeen removed from the safe and has to be lcdin the closed withdrawl tray.

Once the money is there, the machine will shut down and an engineer will be
called to fix it. What you have to do is to get the drawer open, get the cash
out, and leg it!

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
PRACTICE
--------

Once you have found a machine, you should find out the times when the immediate
vacinity is quiet, but when someone might want to get out some money. I find
that 10am to 1 pm on Sundays is a good time.

Now what you have to do is open the withdrawl drawer enough to put in a foreign
object which will stop the next customer's cash from being issued. A piece of
paper should do it, but a Mars bar wrapper or anything should also work. To getthe drawer open you use a strong flathead screwdriver, a piece of metal or acrowbar. Some machines are tougher than tesso you will have to experiment.
Remember not to damage the drawer more than is necessary to open it.

Once you have done this you should close the tray again so that it looks fairly
normal to the next punter.

Now for the boring part. Wait a safe distance away from the machine for someoneto try to get some m out. They should fail which will mean them leaving themachine looking pissed off or confused orbt. Once they have gone, go up to
the machine and see what the message on screen is. If it says something like
'Sorry this machine is temporarily out of service' or something like that then
you know everything has gone to plan so far.

Get your screwdriver again, and re-open the withdrawl draw. With a bit of luck
you shouldn't have too much trouble as you will have already weakened it.

Inside should now be any amount of money from 10 to 250 quid depending on how
much the guy just tried to withdraw. Take it and go. You have got plenty of
time to get away from the scene as long as no-one saw you attacking the machine
with a crowbar!

( You might find that you need a piece of wire to pull the notes out with
especially if the drawer is a tough one which you can't open much. )

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
IT DOES WORK!
-------------

This info is straight from a bitter ex-ATM engineer who wanted to have a little
revenge on his employers. I have seen him do this, and from my instructions
other mates of mine have succesfully taken money this way. One lucky shit even
got 220 quid on his first time!

I advise not to hit the same place within 3 months, but other than that do what
you want. One thing to bear in mind though is that it costs the bank or
building society more money to replace the front of the ATM than they ever lose
in cash, so if you want this little scam to last longer be as gentle with the
drawers as you can. If they dont have to replace as mant parts, then they mightcontinue turning a b eye to this scam. It may sound petty, but you never
know, it might just help!

N.B.

Apparently some places were planning on fitting mini-cameras to the ATMs to stopthis sort of thing aven some muggings. This is not widespread, but I know
for a fact that some inner city ATMs are covered on either internal surveillancecameras of these mines already so make sure you pick your spot well.

DODGY DIAGRAM
-------------

This diagram is of a Halifax ATM. It is not the only sort that works.
