Response to the Article "Dispelling Drug Myths"

I am going to correct the errors in this article written by "John Doe". There are MANY errors in his text.

Ok lets get started....I only commented on the things i am nearly 100% sure of.

"Diphenhydramine Hydrochloride, will make you really sick (not high) and is a tricyclic antihistimine, also causes irregular heartbeats, coma (if you conisder that getting high) and of course the ulitimate high DEATH!!! Dramamine, used for motion sickness, fucks with your balance and middle ear, will keep you from puking, therefore if you OD on it your bodys normal defense to poison (vomiting) will not work, therefore you die.(also treats ringing of the ears)"

>Diphenhydramine (Benadryl) and Dimenhydrinate (Dramamine) are basically the same drugs. There is not one mentionable difference between them. You can get "high" off of this drug, but it is neither a "fun" or "safe" high (by most's standards). The high is very similar to the anticholinergic plants Datura and Belladonna. The high will produce very real and scary open-eye hallucinations. It will also give you the WORST cottonmouth you've ever had. It is not a fun high in any way (by most people's standards). However, these chemicals do have toxicity levels, and one can die from them (though i know of an individual who have taken up to 72 Benadryl at once). I do not recommend using these recreationally.

"Ultram, is not a narcotic and will not produce any euporia, thats why its not a controlled substance. It's just super advil."

"Tylenol, liver failure and dialysis."

"DXM, will fuck you really bad, apparently a intense high does major long term organ system damage..."

>Come on, man. Do some fucking research. DXM has never been suggested to cause "organ system damage". If anyone would like to get REAL information about this drug, please read the DXM FAQ by William White. I have used DXM quite extensively with no ill effects. Note: I am talking about pure DXM, NOT Coricidin, which can kill in high doses due to the extra antihistamine.

"Nitrous Oxide, (dental gas) Will produce a quick high that can make you pass out, but you'll most likely keep breathing and wake a few seconds later(when your blood O2 levels return to normal)with a smashing fucking headache."

>I have never known anyone to get a headache, nor have I, even after serious NO2 binges. It doesn't make you pass out either. The only risk that NO2 might have is that if you inhale too much, you might be depriving yourself of oxygen. Take breaks between balloons.

"Ritalin, In my opinion ADHD is bullshit (and you kids just need some freakin dicipline) This shit numbs your mind and WILL cause cardiac problems."

>Ritalin is a stimulant which will likely make a normal person "hyper" or "speedy" in relatively high doses. I've used Ritalin, and my mind is not numb. I'm sure excessive use can cause heart problems though.

"Benzos, very relaxing, kinda hard to OD on (well you might forget to breathe."

"MDMA or "X" used as a psychological therapy in the 60's and early 70's, Real Stuff "not speedballs" in low doses produced euphoria, very small "therapeutic Index" easy to OD on. Dangerous stuff to OD on, the person who is over dosed will experience cardiac abnormalities, very high spike in body temp (105 f+),liver failure, kidney failure, it just gets worse from there. (if someone is OD on X keep 'em cool (not frozen) till the medics get there)there is no drug to reverse this."

I'm not saying MDMA is safe, as one's body can react badly with any drug. But this guy really doesn't know what he's talking about. >Not quite impossible to kick the habit. Benzodiazepines are a lot harder to quit than opiates, and the withdrawal is much worse.

"GHB "Georgia Home Boy" ect. Ammino Acid produced by the body, overdose produces relaxation too much ..see MDMA OD above."

"rohypnol "roofies" causes relaxation, makes you forget, espically when mixed with alcohol,can kill, come on guys are you soo fucking lame you need this to get laid? How would you feel if someone drugged and raped your sister or girlfriend?"

Oxycontins come in several strengths...10mg, 20mg, 40mg, 80mg. if you grind up a 20mg capsule, you will likely not overdose unless you are less than 50lbs. However, an 80mg grinded up can be an overdose for someone with no tolerance. If you insist on using Oxycontins, start out with 20mg.

"Morning glory seeds, similar high to shrooms, not illegal, but grow the flowers and harvest the seeds, the seeds in the packs are treated with something that will make you really sick. Patience my son..."

>I wouldn't consider it "similar to shrooms". The chemical in Morning Glory seeds is called LSA, or Lysergic Acid Amide. A chemical VERY similar to LSD. The trip is different than LSD, but they are very chemically similar.

All of the things I have posted are true to the best of my knowledge. This guy is probably part of the DARE committee (these people are responsible for most of the myths and lies you hear about drugs these days). I wrote this article because i don't want people to be misinformed by this guy.
