My Pleasant DXM Experience

For a few months now I've been reading all about all sorts of drugs online. I've done weed, coke, speed and laughing gas countless times before. So when I read you could get high off of typical cough medicine I was naturally interested. The first time I went to try this DXM experiment I didn't have any medicine in the house with DXM in it. But luckily about three weeks ago I came down with the flu and so did my brother. My mom bought us about 3 boxes each of a flu medicine made by Rite-Aid, it was one of those generic flu medicines. When she came into my room with the bag and boxes of medicine I took the boxes and looked at the back. It said dextromethorphan hbr – 10mg I just chuckled a bit and gave the box back to my mom. She gave me two pills and I fell asleep to the back round noise of some shitty Comedy Central show. The next morning I woke up and I felt a bit better. But this isn't where my trip begins. This isn't where I'm going to tell you I started to see elves and pink elephants. No, my real trip started weeks later.
It was a Thursday night, around 8 o'clock and I had been feeling rather depressed about shit going on in my life. Girls, drugs, drugs, and girls. So I decided I needed something to open my mind up and relax me a bit. I was all out of weed and my failed shroom garden was rotting away in my trash can. I didn't have any money and I wasn't about to go through the hassle of getting drugs at 8 on a Thursday so I went downstairs and into the medicine cabinet.
After pushing away Echinacea and some other herbal medicines my mom had bought I found the old flu medicine. Ahhh, yes, DXM. I took out two different boxes and two pills from each box. Two were orange gel tablets and the other two were half white half red tablets. I went to the fridge and got out some spring water and swallowed all four of the pills. Than I went downstairs and did 400 sit ups, 200 jumping jacks and punched at my punching bag for about 5 minutes. Than I went upstairs to my bedroom to wait for the effects to kick in.
The initial high was very subtle, I couldn't tell if it was a sort of post-work out high or the DXM starting to kick in. So I waited a little longer. Soon while talking to people on my computer I noticed that I was laughing at nearly everything people sent me. I started rolling my head around and feeling very distant from everything. I turned on some techno and just let the DXM take over. I felt the sort of high I felt when I was high on weed and watching cartoons. The next thing I remember is leaving the music on after having a nearly 2 hour discussion about god with some girl I know online and going to bed. I kept waking up and falling back asleep between different songs. When I woke up in the morning it was extremely early for me, it was about 8:30. I didn't know if this was because of the DXM or K.D. Lange coming on my playlist.
Typically I wouldn't have written this article for TOTSE but I thought it was necessary to write it after I see there are only negative stories about DXM here on TOTSE. But, just be careful with how much you take. I only took 40mg and had a great time. Don't go over board.
