Salvia trip

Being just a sophomore in highschool, I believe that I have experienced a lifetime of events already. This is the explanation of the greatest single experience in my life thus far, salvia.

I used to co-run a nice cannabis farm in Asia (my parents? jobs brought me there, and where I lived, all year = perfect growing season). While I was doing that, I had heard of salvia, but never really gave much thought into it beyond very basic curiosity. A few years later (about 3 months ago), having moved back to the united states, one of my friends mentioned it again to me and it sparked an interest which I am very thankful for. We managed to order a half ounce of straight salvia, not 2x or 5x or anything like that. Neither of us are big smokers druggies or anything, we both have gpa?s well above 4, but neither of us are wimps either. We were just waiting for the right time to use our stuff. That time finally arrived about three weeks ago.

We were in my basement on a Thursday night. Me and my friend went into the unfinished part after everyone else was asleep in the house. I made a bong in about 2 minutes out of a water bottle, tin foil, and electrical tape. I always use disposable devices so I have zero risk of getting caught. So we put in a bowl of some pretty decent weed to start. After that bowl was done, I took about ? salvia and ? weed (probably 1/3 salvia to 2/3 weed by weight) and mixed them around a little, and made another bowl. After this bowl, I was feeling pretty strong weed effects, but a little different than what one would normally expect. We finished off 2 more bowls in the next few minutes, and right after we were done was when it started to set in.

At first, sounds were amplified. We had Monty Python and the Holy Grail on in the next room, and its sound was as though it was from a long corridor far off. Everything was spaced out, but in a different way. Here I had conscious of my actions, and somewhat of my thoughts. A beat went through my head, and this same beat would be on and off throughout the whole time.

As the effects came on stronger and stronger, I decided that it was in my best interest to hide the bong, etc. now for disposal in the morning. I then went to the couch in front of Monty Python. Almost immediately after I laid down, reality seemed to be a far off place. I was in space. In the dark reaches, I could see the tv screen that is 60 inches long and was less than 7 feet away from me, playing the movie, but I could not comprehend it. I deciphered the time from the alarm clock (I still had to go to school the next morning), 1.20 am. Immediately after this, the beat came back. I could see a rotating pattern across my entire vision, spinning green and red against a background of black, with the tv still somehow there, although there was no way to designate a position to the tv, it was somehow apparent in my sight. Reality, it seemed at this point, was like a portal in the distance of space, a portal that I could not reach or see or give position, but it was undoubtedly there, but not.

At this point I wasn?t very focused on the portal to reality. The Rotating pattern slowly developed into a figure distinctly resembling the grateful dead bear, a giant bear, and flashing of the reddest red to the greenest green. Again, I tried to look at the time, but at some point in attempting to find my way back through the portal to see reality, I drifted off into sleep, and woke up the BEEP BEEP BEEP BEEP BEEP of my alarm clock, and made my way back into the reality of school.

This summer I definitely plan on experiencing and coming back to reality without the help of sleep. My friends and I are getting shrooms, and we got some 20x salvia. I have smoked some of the regular salvia I have without weed, and the best way I can explain it, for me anyhow, the weed was a powerful catalyst for the effects of the salvia. I've never read of anybody getting those effects off of plain salvia, so I suggest others try this method following the general guidelines for salvia.
