Just read your sub.'s about Datura. Interesting, from my research I am starting to see that there is a lot of "rubbish" reports on the net. People seem to be scared or put off by it's reputation.
This should not be the case for I have found a tea made of Brugmansia x cannadia flowers and bark scrapeings to be quite usefull as an sleep aid.(in the right dose, I won't get into that) The seeds of the D.stramonium are awsome in their abillity "rip your brain out" for a day or so.
A few big Brug. leaves in two cups of water reduced to one cup will clear any sinus or mucas build up if you have a cold. It is also used in about the same amount to cure a rumbling stomache.
All in all these are some of the oldest shamanistic plants around, used for hundreds of years.
I drink, rub, or chew preparations of these at least once a week (depending how I feel). And have had no really bad experiences apart from a bit of physical discomfort occasionaly(due to the large amounts of Atropine And Hyoscamine).
I think i'm still sane anyway.
P.S. On the other hand you should ponder that I may be a headache-plagued half-lunatic crazed by too much solitude.
