Hello All!
Chapter II: Free And Easy
The bid had now reached a straight thirteen thousand, and it appeared as
if the bidders were beginning to thin out. Suddenly from out of the crowed a
voice yelled "Twenty five thousand, take it or leave it!"
Zek's eyes widened in shock, he never dreamt of such a bid in his life,
even if it was a unicorn on sale. He moved forward and looked down into the
crowed. The offer appeared to have been spoken by a creature covered in a
thick brown robe, with the hood up to hide its face. Everyone fell silent, no
counter offer was thrown, and after a few restless seconds Bigaton yelled
"SOLD!"
The unicorn was quickly rushed back behind the tent, as the crowed began
to disperse, with or without their new slave. Soon only the winning bidder was
left standing, alone in front of the near empty platform with only Bigaton its
only company.
Bigaton held his sword tightly, ready for anything as he spoke. "Climb up
my dear fellow, your now one proud owner of a very rare unicorn."
The stranger without hesitation, leapt up onto the platform as easily as
one would climb a stair case. Bigaton jumped back, sword outstretched ready to
defend himself.
The stranger laughed softly before speaking. "Is this how you treat your
best buyer, with sword ready for attack?"
Bigaton lowered his weapon, but as always in his training he allowed no
tension to release just in case he quickly needed it again. "Follow me." He
said as he directed the buyer behind the tent.
The old tent was dark and smelly, and even with the sun shining outside,
it needed two candles on a table to light the small area. Bigaton joined his
pack as Zek stepped forward. "I do hope you have the money my dear fellow,
otherwise I will not be very happy, and when I'm not happy, I do ghastly
things to animal flesh, real ghastly!" Zek laughed, with the others.
The stranger looked up and pulled the hood back. "If there's one thing I
can't stand, it's being mistaken as a boy." The stranger was now visible, and
it was very clear to them that it was not a man, but a young female feline.
Zek laughed once more. "It's not often I sell a costly slave to a girl,
you are one of very few." Slowly Zek's grin turned sour as he leaned over the
table that separated the two. "Now where is the twenty five thousand I was
promised? I hate being made a fool of, especially by a girl."
The feline moved closer to the table, and placed her hands along the edge.
"Yes the money, well it appears I was mistaken. Although I did bid twenty five
thousand gold, I now discover that I was wrong, and all I have on me was
twenty five gold pieces, silly me!" She smirked back.
"WHAT! You fool, you've just sealed your doom." Zek said as he slowly went
for his sword.
"Oh, I do have one more thing. THIS!" And with that she threw the table
forward hitting Zek in the stomach sending hot wax onto his dirty fur. And
before anyone could even blink she had dropped her robe and was now holding
two swords ready for battle.
"KILL THE FUCKIN' WHORE!" Zek screamed as he clambered up. Instantly Cal,
Bigaton, and Jiuana leaped forward, swords and axes ready for the taste of
fresh feline blood.
Quickly the trappers fanned out, and with each step closer they parted
wider in an attempt to circle her. Instantly Cal shot forward, as his axe
swung wildly at the felines neck. With the usual grace and skill of a feline,
she ducked the blow and crossed her swords to slice two deep cuts into either
side of his thighs. Cal fell to the dirt floor, unable to hold his own weight
anymore, as the blood gushed out and covered his red fox coat.
Jiuana screamed in passion as she saw Cal wounded so badly from the girls
blades. Cal was like a brother to Jiuana, and the sight was like that of
seeing a love one struck down. Without thought Jiuana sprung forward wielding
her large broad sword. Even though she was small, it was obvious to any
opponent that her strength was more than expected from such a small figure.
Bigaton stood back as he watched the two girls circle each other, waiting
for an opening in which to strike. Once he felt that the feline was
concentrating more on Jiuana than on him, he rushed forward, and sliced a
clean deep cut into her right ribs. The cat pounced left, fur still ruffled as
she looked down to see the wound she had just received.
With eyes of hate, she hissed, and then pounced forward tackling Bigaton
to the ground. With the natural skills of her race, she released her swords
and ripped at Bigaton with her bare hands. Jiuana didn't dare swing her sword,
with the girl moving so fast upon the floor, as she feared that she may miss
her target and strike a lethal blow to Bigaton instead.
