Any information, software, diagrams, or hardware are sold for educational
purposes only. NMT Electronics agents, publishers and authors of any of this
listed above ASSUME NO LIABILLITY FOR ANY HARM CAUSED TO ANY CELLULAR PHONE,
INDIVIDUAL, COMPANY OR BUSINESS WITH THE USE OF THE ITEMS.

N.M.T Electronic has come up with a way for all of you to reprogram your
Motorola cellular phone above the software revision 9122. The method is
no as easy as the cellular phone with a lower software version but well
worth the time and trouble concidering that the lower version software phones
are getting harder to find. N.M.T is offering this Trick Clip for a small
fee of $350 plus shipping and handling.

Proper Use of The N.M.T. Trick Clip

After phone disassembly locate 27c512 EPROM on phone board.
This is on the upper right side of the display next to the ROAM indicator.
this is a 32 pin square device. *NOTE: the dot and beveled edge for pin
orientation (the dot is pin 1) count to the left or counter clockwise 2
3 4 5 and so on.

To the right, or clockwise of the dot is pin 32 Vcc. This will
aid you in your count to find pin 25 wihch is the EPROM output enable.
this pin is at ground or V55-level.

*NOTE: Pin 25 on EPROM in phone must be lifted from the phone board ground or
V55 state, use an X-acto nife and or soldering Iron and tools to cut pin at
board level were pin norrows do not bend wide part of pin up on EPROM as this
could break of off EPROM. Also wide part of pin will be used to make contact
the 'trick clip'.

*NOTE: Trick clip could be tuching norrow part of cutoff pin on the board thus
causing phone not to power up so remove or folddown as low as possible so trick
clip only tuches side of EPROM. After programming is compleate you can put pin
25 back together if you feel like it for software below 9308, other software
will require you to put pin 25 back together or find a suitable ground or VSS
source. To use the trick clip pull the locking wedge on the trick clip into the
upper possiton section of the trick clip adapter onto the EPROM of the phone.
Make sure to orient the dot and the edge with each other push locking wedge down
to lock the trick clip onto the EPROM on the phone. Now proceed to re-program
your phone with the software and cables. If everything is done correctly your
phone should power up and the green light should come on display.
