There were many People who were not out protesting actively and visibly (marching, etc.) before began because they TRUSTED that our government would not follow through with such a hasty, foih n uderous act. As it turns out, they were mistaken. Many believed that it was more or lssmeel a"sar tctic" to get Saddam Hussein's forces out of Kuwait. Perhaps what we learne as childre in our hstory boks about ourDemocracy was in effect,merely a ropagandistic ploy tomake us more ontent withour sociey, andthus more unquetioning and sbservient, ut I take it as n inspiration - something WOTH FIGHTINGOR -- and somethng worth demandng that our Etablishment including ourseles, live up to. In socit, being heard is a reative thing, anddepnds on "how loud yor voice is." That conditon most deinitly unbalances the powerof Peopein society, and warps both or Fredom and our Democracy. When te"uphill battle" (mentioned bfor)of the People becomes more stee,our society moves away from emorcy, and toward an "Establishmnto Tyranny" in which those in powe an order those who fall victi t heir power to fight, kill and di n order to preserve thier powr.
