1. PaTCH
1.1 Welcome to PaTH! By reading this magazine, you understand
that ANY info you get is NOT guranteed to be legal.
Information is FREE, and can under United States law be
freely distributed. What people DO with the info is NOT
the distributors fault. Anotherwords, if we give you some
text on how to jump off a bridge, its not OUR fault you go
and DO it.
By understanding this, please continue reading! If you

reading PaTH again; as this is the policy of every issue
we distribute.
1.2 What IS PaTH? PaTH is an acronym for "Phreaking, Anarchy
Text, and Hacking." We deal MAINLY in hacking and phreaking,
since it is the most complicated and demanded form of infor-
mation. Please feel free to call "Absolute Anarchy @
313-???-???? to add an article to PaTH! We will distribute
an issue of PaTH monthly.

2. Novell Netware Hacking
2.1 We will begin our magazine with everyones favorite network
operating system: Novell! Its every high-school hackers
dream to totally fuck up their school network, or for those
with a little more brains: trying to hack into its most
valuable uses. In fact, many schools store their grades,
attendance, and staff info right on the very network you
only thought you had Word Perfect access to! <g>
Novell is a fairly simple to use, but very powerful system
used on MOST LANs around the country. It is VERY popular on
school networks, and many businesses use it as well. Most of
you right now are thinking: Fuck, I know this already, tell
me something I'd like to hear!
2.2 DOS... Need I say more? Its the basic element of getting
into stuff..Whether it be passwords, programs, etc! Ya NEED
to know how to get into it. The EASIEST way possible to
get into it is this:
At the 1st logon prompt, hit enter. At the next prompt
below it, enter the ID (preferably someone elses!) and
then of course the password. You're now in DOS! Now, if
THAT did not work, because it may be possible for the Sysop
to disable this 'feature', the second easiest way is this:
AT the main menu in your (or as I said, SOMEONE ELSES!)
account, select: Change Password. When the program loads
and asks for your password, etc, just hit CTRL-C!! Yes,
isn't it STUPID?! The damn thing is a simple batch file!
DOS can also be entered through any program that allows you
to shell to DOS... Is all really easy...and pretty fucking
stupid that it IS so easy!
2.3 Once you're in DOS, its essential you know what the hell
you're looking for! First off, find this program: SYSCON.EXE.
It will allow you to store up on other peoples ID's, just in
case the one you're working on gets detected by the sysop and
suspended.
Another fun one to muck around with is: NWCARE.EXE.. It serves
no purpose whatsoever, but it allows you to broadcast messages
to users currently on the network. Can be REALLY hilarious!
Several utilities are available on any good H/P BBS. Here is
a small listing, and description of what each can do:
GETIT.COM - This will load as a TSR on any computer
hooked up to the net, and capture anyones
password who uses the computer, provided
the TSR is still loaded, since a LOT of
morons reset the computers when they're
done.
NETCRACK.EXE - This cute little, but SLLLLLOOOW util
WILL crack any user id you give it's
password! Just an idea of how slow it
is: It takes 45 minutes just to crack
a 3 letter password. And about 3 days
to get a 5 letter one.
KNOCK.EXE - Will knock your access up. Doesn't work
on some nets..Have NFI (no fucking idea)
why!!
These are just a FEW of the many programs and utils available.
I've found these the most valuable for my hacking needs and
wants.
If your system administrator, wherever you are, has any brains,
it is VERY likely that he/she has write protected most of the
important stuff. If you're just out to fuck up the network,
then your chances of success are not great in that case. And
by the way: ATTRIB.EXE doesn't work to grant you rights.
What you NEED to do, if you have to copy something like GETIT,
NETCRACK, etc, to the net, you must find a writeable directory!
Theres LOTS of them around...The most common is:
<drive>:\login\autolog
You have FULL access to it, but the system administator can
and will find it sooner or later. I recommend burying these
files DEEP into the net. To know what type of rights you have,
type 'rights' in any place in DOS, and it will show you what
rights you have for that directory.
Keep mucking around the net, and soon you'll achieve your
little glorious spot to stick the shit... <g>
Currently, the place where I reside hacking (my school), we've
got a fairly intelligent Sysop.. We're always on the run, but
who the hell cares, its FUN!! Theres ALWAYS A WAY TO GET
INTO -ANY- NET!
