Trump Blasts French President For Welcoming Biden To The “Club”

President Trump didn’t allow France’s President Emmanuel Macron off the hook for his snarky remarks during the G7 Summit.

Macron during the summit stated that “I think it’s great to have a U.S. president part of the club and very willing to cooperate”.

The French President was immediately responded by President Trump who released a statement that said the “French President and many other Leaders before him, in France and throughout Europe, were ripping off the United States”.

He didn’t stop there and continued “of course, they like Biden because now they will be allowed to return to their old ways of ripping off our Country”.

Newsmax covered both Macron’s and Trump’s comments:

French President Emmanuel Macron’s welcoming President Joe Biden to the G7 “club” Saturday drew a rebuke of the 45th president of the United States.

Former President Donald Trump derided Macron’s disingenuous G7 statement, where the Trump critic stated: “I think it’s great to have a U.S. president part of the club and very willing to cooperate.”

Trump responded via a statement Saturday from his Save America PAC:

“This was a quote by the President of France. He and many other Leaders before him, in France and throughout Europe, were ripping off the United States like never before. We were treated very unfairly with horrible trade deals, and paying for a large portion of their defense.

“They were taking advantage of the United States and therefore, of course, they like Biden because now they will be allowed to return to their old ways of ripping off our Country. If I were a leader of these countries, I too would like Biden far better than President Trump.

“They will now get very rich off the United States just like they have in the past until a change is made. I am for AMERICA FIRST!”

The Washington Examiner had more details to share on Macron and Biden’s interactions together:

President Joe Biden and French President Emmanuel Macron appear to be developing a budding bromance in the United Kingdom.

Macron and Biden sat for a brief bilateral meeting in between Saturday’s G-7 summit sessions, during which the French president heaped praise on his American counterpart and took a thinly veiled shot at former President Donald Trump.

“Definitely,” Macron told reporters when asked if he thinks America is “back.”

“I think it’s great to have a U.S. president part of the club and very willing to cooperate,” he said. “And I think what you demonstrate is that leadership is partnership.”

Macron: “I think it’s great to have the U.S. President part of the club.”

President Trump never wanted to be part of “the club” anyway!
